That did get trashed by him, but the uploader brought it back to public 'out of spite' after that allegation, as the update log in there states. I'm not so sure if it's really okay to just do that, but there doesn't seem to be anyone defending Spiralxol in there by now.

I've kinda figured that a naked Dark Samus would be all muscle-y and vain-y. Like the armor is actually her skin.

 

But all I know about Metroid lore is that Samus was raised by bird people and Ridley killed her parents and simply refuses to die, so what do I know?

Probably both, latter is their group misinterpreting Gamebanana adding NSFW tag for postings into them now allowing porn, former for... well, Gamebanana. Users' there are especially dissing on NSFW contents for Smash. I'm happening to see Genshin Impact's nude mods coming out in mass and someone was asking Nahida nudes without getting scolded, so I don't know.

Her appearance there is based on Metroid Prime 2, which is Metroid Prime fused with Samus suit and her DNA, having a transparent suit with skeleton-ish figure inside. Dark Samus later gets a look we currently know in Smash in Metroid Prime 3. Here's an image for better understanding.

Regardless, seems like barefeet mods for all character has replaced an aspiration of that nude mod project? The request (https://gamebanana.com/requests/46539) did decline all the underages, but I guess there is now a new occasion of fetish mods.

While the armor is technically part of her, the mod creator could take the route Wooden Plank Studios did and make her sexy instead

So I knew about Dark Samus being an alien-type being that took the appearance of Samus' power suit and nothing underneath it, but for a nude mod I kind of expected the sexy Dark Samus type thing. Not a more accurate depiction.

I mean, I applaud them for sticking to the accuracy somewhat, but that was very unexpected. ?

I also found it funny that there was a nude Zero Suit Samus and a nude regular Samus which is just nude Zero Suit Samus with the arm cannon.

Can someone explain why every time someone posts stuff like this the files go unavailable? I’m curious. Besides that I have a quick update from the future creator of the nude sheik mod. They seem to be having trouble with family and so they will be taking some time off from working on adding the model to the game however this does not mean that it will be discontinued as he said he will come back whenever the problem is fixed and he feels a lot better. He apologizes to anyone who might be disappointed after reading this.
