Ok, I think I've identified the next project  I'm going to work on, bra and panties as accessories. I've noticed there isn't much content for them as accessories, but plenty as clothing.

Being a new creator, how big of a can of worms am I looking at?

On a side note, new, updated versions of pantyhose are coming soon (next week or so) as well as some variations of Josh's stockings (Josh, your work is fantastic!) I wouldn't mind creating a 6 strap garter belt too. We'll see how steep the learning curve is.

Feedback is appreciated!

It depends on if you want these (bra/panties) to be affected by KW or not. If so, they will need to use the left and right garter slots. Then there is an ID# needed for reference to add to a menu in the KW settings for recognition by that mod. LadySmoks has already made a few versions of each, modified some existing ones, as well as made non removable and invisible options. I recommend chatting her up some.

None. As accessory is the same as any image overlay accessory. There is no mesh to contend with, only the texture image. For KW, bras are right garter and panties are left garter. You can change that while in TSRW. It can also be changed if using CTU.

Almost ready to upload my first conversions/recolors. One thing I've noticed is how fuzzy the bottom of the bra I'm working on is.

Is there any way to clean that up?

Sorry no, if you are using photoshop or making lines at angle they would tend to be fuzzy, however what you can do is make a mesh by cutting around it but since it is image overlay accessory we will accept it.

As @Dailycard says, there are limits, but a little can be done. I don't use Photoshop, but Gimp instead. Same thing more or less. First cut it as clean as you can. Then try sharpen, then noise reduction as only sharpen will leave jagged edges. Next, duplicate the layer. make the bottom layer almost black. Use Gaussian blur set between 0.5 and 1.0. This creates a shadow effect and although not a sharp line, has a more natural appearance. You need to play with these things to find what works for you. )))

Success!! Using an older program, I was able to extract the multiplier from my favorite garter belt hosted on xSims.de

I now have several conversions and recolors in the works that I am excited to share.

Besides, if you’ve downloaded content from xSims in the past, you know that their package files are installed via exe file. This is a complete PITA.

Stay tuned! These will be good!

And BTW, don’t post using your phone’s browser either.....it’s also a PITA!

Working on recolors of  2 bra and panty sets. Surprisingly, TSR hasn't been the source of inspiration I was hoping it would be. There are still several items of clothing that I would love to create, but to do so, I would have to convert pictures of real clothing items into multipliers/masks/speculars, something I have no idea how to do, let alone start.

If there are any guides out there, please point me to them. Surprisingly, I really enjoy making these conversions and hearing back from people. That feedback makes me want to create more.

As usual, advice and feedback are welcome!

I've found myself with creator's block the last few days. Stockings have been done many times over, several bodysuits I'm interested in converting have multipliers that are not shaded to neutral gray (128), and while I have several candidates for bra and panty sets I want to convert, I'm not happy with the design of the panty in almost every one of them.

To top that off, I feel nervous about converting other people's work, even though I'm making the effort to credit the original creators. I'm honestly not sure what to do next!

Perhaps thinking about themed sets which haven't been introduced or created 'en masse' for the Sims 3. Since I am always making game save series based around themes, I often find myself either 'blocked' or having to be very creative <Thank god for CAST> when making outfit selections or downloading CC. By 'blocked' I mean there is NO option already made or available. ATM moment I've been brainstorming how I can create a playable 'Night City' which is the game world for Cyberpunk2077. As for outfits and Sims using cyberware or being 'dolls', it's not a problem as much as finding a world which has been 'futurized' while still being run down . . .    >>>This is the real problem with the Sims 3 - by the time many of these concepts became popular, the Sims 4 was already out so much of the talent jumped ship to hock their wares there.

Anyways besides the usual suspects like BDSM gear, or other stuff, like 50's 60's style clothing (Just watched Gidget again so have been messing with my 'I dream of Jeannie' save series more) - perhaps mention of a specific thing would help.

Stirrups.

I can't think of any pants or workout leotards I have or have seen which utilize Stirrups. Long or short straps - both can be sexy. I have a few 'work-out' clothing items which involve the foot 'hanging out'. Either a full leotard bottom which stops half-way along the foot, showing 1/2 the arch, ball of foot and toes, or those ankle warmers which have 'slipped down' onto the foot so the same affect as I just mentioned is shown (1/2 of the foot). Looking at some early 60's styles I realized there isn't anything for everyday or athletic wear which has the stirrups.

Maybe that would inspire and help remove creator's block. I have a shitload of ideas, just no skill to create and at my age - no patience to learn a new discipline.

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=womens+clothing+stirrups&atb=v209-1&iax=images&ia=images

>>>I decided to add: When looking at the images linked - take your time and notice the various applications and style ideas implemented. The concept has been adapted for a wide range of 'use'. Part of the trick in creating would also be 'creative' in where/how the player would have the options to set their own choices in coloring. Like the straps could be colored separately from the legs, etc.

Guess if I showed an example of the only option I have to make use of could also help. This shot contains the leggings which use the name EVIE in the thumbnail. Pretty sure it's the 'Creator' but these have a built-in texture which 'detracts' some from the players freedom to customize - also the heel is not cut out, making them more for workout than other uses. They are part of a set which includes a top and I've had this set for MANY years.

I just remembered and would be remiss not to mention LadySmoks DID create a pair of heels which DO incorporate a stirrup fashioned into an 'over the knee' style.

I also wanted to mention any type of socks/stockings/leggings, etc. which allow the player to color each leg separately would be welcome. I have only 1 or 2 that allow that with those having (once again) a dedicated 'style' which inhibits the players freedom to use CAST to it's fullest. You may have seen these as well:

315129758_2colorstockings.jpg.37aef23b0c2e869e832c55e508bc7b1b.jpg    Customized--->  1317720899_2colorstockings(B).jpg.6267be34354a71345a7e05e0c665f15b.jpg

I kept the coloring on these basic so the 'built-in' textures were readily apparent. The ribbed look of the lower along with the weave look of the upper. A player could easily do the same thing with the many options in CAST (weaves/wicker and  geometric) textures but instead are forced into these looks without recourse. These particular pair do have 3 options with one being a custom texture which is nice while 2 and 3 give the player freedom - yet as one can see - even using the basic color (no texture) they are still somewhat forced into a 'look'. I DO like the fact I can color each leg (bottom) differently as they have 3 channels to color. I used pink, white, and yellow.

>>>Added a shot with custom patterns and changed some color to illustrate.

Last thoughts: While the different heights are NOT a big deal, because the nature of customizing Sims tend for one side (left/right) to mirror the other, when options which remove this 'mirroring effect' are presented, I believe it helps the game allow better looking sims. It doesn't have to be drastic (as above) but the eye sees when it 'is' a mirror even if not looking. Even at rest a Sim will place more of their 'weight' on one foot so it looks more natural.

Other idea. I am creating a very automotive environment where to place my Bunnys and I have noticed that there are few options to create the outfit of the "Pit lane Girls" there are many original catsuits (I put a couple of them) but they do not support colors of the races like the checkered pattern, there is only the EA option and this one that I found but that does not allow color variations. Is only other idea in case it serves or inspires you in any way (maybe cheerleader uniforms or promogirls of some brand or things like that)

@landess Started searching for stirrup pants and leggings. Surprisingly, there's very little out there! I'll take another look at @LadySmoks content. I need to figure out where to modify the feet on the multiplier to create the stirrup.

@Patriguz Great idea on the workout/outfits. always loved the 80's styles. Let me see what I can come up with.

Please keep in mind I'm working without Blender/Milkshape. I have no clue how to use those programs.

Finally, will be posting some more bra/panty conversions/recolors this week. Thinking about posting in primary colors as well as pastels. It's actually more work to create the thumbnails that the conversions!

Good time to learn. ))) I have no problem if you use the Dom shoes, as @JoshQ had no problem with me using his shoes in my work, but you need Blender to pull that stuff apart. If you wanted to have naked feet, Josh also uploaded resources for his foot design, but it's several pages back in Downloads.

OY! @landess...

You mean 2nd poll??? I haven't had a chance to take a look at your works yet, but how many variations did you put in your work? Are they just color variations under same color map?

@CHboom! I've been keeping it to six basic colors for panties, bras, bodysuits, and my garter belt conversions. Pantyhose and stockings got 4 different colors, and the bodystocking and fishnet hose have 3. I'm working on another bra & panty set now, and I'm playing around with two 80's style aerobic/workout outfits that @Patriguz may be interested in.

Biggest challenge so far is finding lace patterns that I can use on clothing in a 1024x1024 png/dds file

If your variations share same multiplier, then I guess you don't have to keep basic colors. 1 or 2 may be suitable in this case.
