qusoleum Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 It seems to work fine with two male Sims. With two female Sims though, it work the opposite of how you'd expect it (i.e. Sims set to bottom always play the top animations and Sims set to top always play the bottom animations).
Paul Harley Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 im pretty new too . but can you not click change spot to make them swap
TURBODRIVER Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 Although this mechanic does its best to figure out what to do, how and where, it can fail if particular animations are configured in a unique or strange way. Did you test using the same animations? If so, and one and the same animation has different results when using a MM pair vs a FF pair, could you provide the name of the animations, author and where to use it?
qusoleum Posted January 10, 2021 Author Posted January 10, 2021 Yes I tested the same animations first with a MM pair and then with a FF pair. I tested a bunch of different animations from different authors and they all have the same problem (for testing purposes let’s just say amra72’s Stand Behind animations on the toilet). The feature clearly is working but always swaps the roles with two female Sims.
TURBODRIVER Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 The reason you experience this is because you're using an animation that's intended for a MALE+FEMALE pair. What happens is, because both Sims are FEMALE, the Sim that gets assigned a position first is the TOP and they get assigned the proper FEMALE spot, then the second Sim, the BOTTOM, gets assigned, and the only left spot is MALE. This results in them flipping the roles, gender wins over role. With MALE+MALE it's flipped/correct due to the same logic of what I just explained. Â What you can do is change one of the FEMALE Sims Gender Recognition to be MALE and TOP, which would resolve this. If I was to prioritize TOP/BOTTOM over MALE/FEMALE then things would get broken when more than 2 Sims are involved. An exception I can attempt introducing is, if a FEMALE+FEMALE pair attempts to use a MALE+FEMALE animation and one is TOP and one BOTTOM, then I could flip them to keep the role assignment valid. This of course wouldn't work when more than 2 Sims are involved again.
qusoleum Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Thanks for the explanation! My current workaround is setting all my female top Sims as BOTTOM and all my female bottom Sims as TOP. Pretty much all my animations are intended for a Male + Female pair so this worked out well. Setting female top Sims to MALE and TOP would cause the unintended effect of them using the male animation when having sex with a male Sim. I would prefer my female top Sims to still perform the female role when having sex with a male Sim.

VAAlucard Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 how can i set my position so my sims prioritizes taking instead of giving. My female sim keeps take male roles instead of it being an even spread. I've tried setting "anything goes" and messing with the "both options"
