Title. I have played a bit of modded skyrim with and without sl mods. However, sometimes i want sl mods sometimes not. Aside from fnis regenerating, is it safe for me to transfer savefiles between a mod load order with sexlab and one without? mods im talking about include SLF, Arrousal, creatures, werewolfs, defeat, animation loader.

In general DONT remove mods from one loadorder/Saver and play it on.

Sexlab is one mod that you should not remove and so is the others you have mention.

But you can add mods to it if you do it properly and make sure that all conflicts are cleared.

I have removed/added mods since 2011 and can't say that I've had any issues with it. I've had savegame bloats but that was due to bad mods anyway.

But shit can happen. You should use savegame cleaner every time you uninstall a mod. A good rule is to not install all mods at the same time. Same goes with uninstalling. Take them one by one starting with the ones at the bottom if your load order.

What do you mean by 'transfer'?

Furthermore, I fail to see a connection between this and the title of the thread.

Uninstalling a mod and then immediately reinstalling doesn't cause any harm  - being a 'Sex Lab' mod' has nothing to do with it. The same is true if you uninstall a mod and then immediately install an updated version of the same mod.

I agree with @Thor2000 about changing mods mid-game - I do it all the time. It can leave a lot of crap in your save but that can generally be cleaned.

If you use MO, MO2 or Vortex then you can set up two different profiles - one Sex Lab and one non-Sex Lab.

I'm going to take one step away from this statement of mine since you won't be able to uninstall a mod which is a master for another. Need to think before I write ?. But I would still take them down one by one.

thank for info. i knew about that rule with most mods, but when i used sl, i switched between having it and not and found no problems... until i found problems.

baiscally, i had a regular save file, some mods. then, put that into a game with those mods and sl, then saved, then put it back into the regular game. said it to show an example of what i did.

In which case you should have got a message saying "this file relies on content which is no longer available" or similar. This means that there is now stuff from SL baked into the file.

well yeah. i did it anyway. seemed to work. the only issue was some atronachs having no animations and slarousal and slcreaturearousal refusing to leave the game safely.

It is. The Re-saver part is the part you are needing. Ctrl + 1 and Ctrl + 2 are your friends. There's lots more to it than that but they are the basics which do the job unless something serious has happened.

There is also this one

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363

Don't worry about the 'beta' - it's been beta forever.

With this one use 'FixScriptInstances' and 'Del. broken activities'.

A lot of sexlab mods have instructions for uninstallation in their modpage or comment section, so check those out. You should also look in every MCM menu you have for those mods to see if they have a reset or uninstall option included.
