fnis FNIS Error... HELP SEVERLY NEEDED

Alright, I'm very very VERY new to modding. Like practically a baby, and for some reason I cannot get FNIS to work at all. It doesn't show any Patches even though I have quite a few animation mods installed,  and only displays this:

 

Error  2001  Application-defined or object-defined error.

 

And then an error message pops up saying this: 

 

Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. 

Object reference not set to an instance of an object. 

 

Then it has a drop down error labeled Details, which says this:

and then FNIS will just go blank with nothing even in the top window

.......................................so if anyone knows what the frick is going on with FNIS and would send some instructions on how to fix it my way, it'd be greatly appreciated!
