storyteller755 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Okay so my issue is basically CTD and after I've loaded the game and it runs for a while. It seems to get a lot worse around Whiterun, as I was able to play through the intro of the game and riverrun with minimal issues although it still CTD once or twice. Also I've noticed sometimes the game minimizes when the Bethesda logo starts up at the beginning, but it doesn't crash just minimizes. Now I will admit ahead of time that part of the issue here or at least probably not the issue, but would help immensely not just for my own curiosity but future issues that I might be able to resolve for myself is for the life of me I can't figure out how to do the whole Papyrus log thing. I mean I changed the skyrim.ini and all that and crashed and then looked for the log and I'm not finding any Papyrus log. I mean... probably a bit crude and clunky though. SKSE 1.7.3 FNIS 7.6 LOOT v0.16.0 (I also have BOSS and Wyrebash the newest versions?) And I'm using Mod Organizer 2 v2.3.2 Unfortunately that last bit about the Papyrus Log I can't do because I can't seem to figure out where the hell it is... (My apologies... I've spent 5 days working on this thing and been met with more and more frustration. I know it is a lot of mods... and I could get rid of a few ... but I would really rather not. I'm trying to achieve my perfect super gay skyrim and this seems to bring that about nicely ... At least I'd like to think it does. I suppose if there are some mods that conflict I can get rid of them... although I've been going through them and I really can't figure out which ones those are... and so like I'm at a loss... hopefully someone can help me.)
gregathit Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 This post will give you what you need to create and find the papyrus log: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/22241-sexlab-troubleshooting-support-guide/?tab=comments#comment-549438 To get your load order with MO2, click on the tools drop down (next to your profile) and choose export to csv. Recommend choosing the Mod status, Mod Name and optional mod version. Load order is not as important with Skyrim as with the much older Beth games. Still it is wise to run LOOT to sort your Load order. Remember, if you move mods around you need to start a new game (or use a clean save). Also, if you install any new mods or remove any mods, run FNIS and also start a new game. The new game is more important for removing mods than adding them. You can get away with just running FNIS and going with a previous save file if you are installing brand new mods..........most times. There are some really great tutorials on youtube for installing mods for working with MO2 and so on. Don't use BOSS with Skyrim. BOSS is for Oblivion and Morrowind. Also, make certain you only install Skyrim LE mods with the LE game. Also only install SE mods with a SE game. Don't mix LE with SE. You'll end up with an unstable game. (Tiny bits of stutter here and there, but other then that fine.) At the same time I haven't tried to go into Whiterun sooo... not sure entirely yet. Even added Elysium and Brother's Keeper to my Mods ... and ... actually managed to follow through with the quest and all that and no CTDs? So like... hopefully? I somehow lucked out over a solution? Although I still have no idea what the issue actually was... so like I'm left confused and slightly frustrated. LOL But! I finally figured out how to do the Papyrus thing yay! lol so I will attach the Papyrus logs and maybe someone much smarter than me can figure out what is going on. Although, I will say that it seems to be running smoother than my last attempt at a game (I started over after removing a bunch of mods already once.) Since I actually managed to get to the western watch tower and beat the dragon without ctd every five steps so ... that's an improvement? Script.zip
Zaflis Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Your skeleton, XPMSE is too early in the install order and might be overwritten by something? Same for PapyrusUtil. Papyrus doesn't usually tell anything about CTD's, nothing really does... Did you check your SKSE and CrashFixes configs that they match your computer/hardware well? You may need to find a good guide on how to do those configs properly with latest info, i'm not expert on that at all. ENBoost can also help to stabilize the game, you don't need to use actual graphics altering ENB at all, infact that normally reduces your FPS and stability even more. But what we could see is your FNIS log, it usually reveals the most important errors in people's mod setups.
