fnhsf Posted December 12, 2020 Posted December 12, 2020 I've been trying to mod skyrim to make a playthrough packed with every player slavery mod I could find (don't ask, i'm a submissive fuck) And.. i've had issue, after issue. I had a playthrough going, but the game CTDed, and I wasn't able to re-open the save again. I had a few problems with my computer, so I reset it, and reset all my mods. I've been working all day to get at the very least these mods to work, so far? no luck. ran BodySlide, FNIS, skse all that good shit, and nothing. I try to open skyrim, and I don't even get to the Title screen.. I'm currently checking mods 5 at a time, but with this load order. that could take a while. Anyone know where I could start to look? I would greatly appreciate it!! katcus Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 Have you ran LOOT? From what i've read most CTDs like yours are caused by a load order problem. Also I see you have Estrus Chaurus but not Etrus for Skyrim, which is a requirement for the mod. My guess is that one or some of the mods you have are missing their requirements and causing this, had a similar problem not long ago. But i'm just your average modder making a guess, so take that as you will.

I don't know where you read that but it is completely wrong. Load order seldom if ever causes CTDs. Most CTDs are memory related with a relatively small number caused by bad meshes. It was on this forum that I read that, pretty recently too. To be fair, he did say his game would not reach the title screen, the same issue I was having from missing masters. Either i'm missing something or it could be reasonable to assume that it could be causing a problem? Sure, your mod manager will tell you, but it could be something that he, just like myself, missed. Loot would tell you as well but he never mention running it, you're assuming he did. Which you're probably right. So tell me, at what point am I qualified to offer any sort of "advice". I never claimed to be an expert. I'm your average modder that runs into average problems. This forum isn't exactly super active, and I'm sure he, much like myself, appreciates any little clue on what might be the problem. I personally don't care in the slightest who comments on my threads. Anything is better than a single post linking a single tutorial thread on how to mod skyrim. I think the guy figured out the basics at this point, linking him to a huge tutorial thread starting at how to install skyrim isn't the most helpful thing. And if I didn't comment, I guarantee this thread would never have seen the light of day again, just like many others. But maybe I'm completely wrong and this thread was better left to die, or it was a memory problem and he found his way to one of the ctd fixes listed there and solved it.

You say 'huge' but what if it is? Surely a very good 'huge' tutorial is better than one sentence of misinformation?
