Firstly, thank you for making the extra slots. The only issue I encounter is sometimes I get a CTD when I try to launch Skyrim; it happens rarely, not enough to be a big issue, but still often enough to repeatedly generate these crash logs. Vortex also shows a warning saying it was made for Oldrim, not SSE, so possibly that's a reason for the crash on my end? I don't know if anyone else who uses this file has this type of crash.

try to rename it to esp. If you are starting a new game run LOOT. I can se EngineFixes, sslvoicedefaults and AnimationQueueFix was the last.

It didn't seem to last, got another instant CTD. I'll have vortex set a rule to load the 3000 slots after SL Animation loader and see how it goes

I think its the esl flag, i notice with a large number of animation cache and voices start to bug in sexlab.

I use the 2000 variant with SLU+.  I just installed the variant without additional animation slots in the fomod.

What would be the brand new game installation instructions?

Would these be different from mid game, I guess is what I am getting at.

 

Have a game that I want to start brand new so I suppose Im trying to figure out if the steps are going to be different than a mid game patching.

Patching you modified sexlab.esm:

1. Load TesEdit

2. Load sexlab.esm and Sexlab sslAnimationSlot XXXX.esp

3. Open Sexlab sslAnimationSlot XXXX.esp

4. Right click quest

5. Deep copy as override (with overwriting) into...

6. Chose sexlab.esm

7. Yes to All ( ...Done: Copying as override)

8. Done

After Deep Cory as Override (with Overwriting),  I wont need the esp since it is written into the Sexlab.ESM record.

Unfortunately for me, I think it's just whatever I have in my modlist since it seems most users don't have this crash whatsoever. Appreciate the effort you went through trying to solve it nevertheless

Appreciate the location of the flag necessary to change, yeah, I have no idea if that'll work, but I just made a quick patch.

I'm no expert on reading crash logs by any means, but I also have no idea where you saw that. Must have been a solution that you've stumbled upon in the past. Will try it out and thank you!

 

Update: Seems like it happened again, and the only off thing I've noticed about the crash log is that it doesn't show all my plugins (around 228 esp/esm, and 351 light). I'll leave a log anyway in case you're still interesting in solving or want to test out solutions, but don't stress one bit

Are you sure about this? I'm an "aggressive eslifier" myself, as I run something between 3k and 4k mods presently. AFAIK, the esl flag on a .esp plugin does not change anything whatsoever about the way plugins are dealt with by the game engine, except that their record addresses are assigned along different rules than non esl flagged plugins. As long as you don't swap between flagged and non flagged plugins in the course of a playthrough, which would break not just that mod, but possibly condemn your savegame, they should behave exactly the same. It's the ESM flag that seems to force actual changes, such as the way records are stored in memory, and there are known limitations/bugs in plugins that have BOTH the ESM and ESL flags, namely, when new cells are created in a plugin having both flags (which that needs to be avoided). A plugin with the .esl extension does, by definition, have both flags set. But a plugin with the .esp extension and only the ESL flag should behave exactly the same way as if it didn't have that flag.

 

There used to be a myth that Racemenu morphs wouldn't load if plugins were flagged ESL, but it has long been disproven and I currently have both the main Racemenu.esp and every morph addon flagged ESL in my load order, and can confirm they work, both in the racemenu, and through script assigned morphs such as with oBody, weight, pregnancy mods, etc.

 

But my knowledge is shallow and empirical, would like to know if others have a different experience, and try to understand why.

Hi. I'm on .640 version of skyrim so I'm using SexLab 1.65 (since I believe that's the newest one compatible with .640). Is ths mod compatible with SL 1.65?
