Maidenfan Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Exactly as the title describes. I tried replace the fine female outfit with this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2676 and I got in it's place a brown and purple texture instead. I tried installing the fix and that didn't work. I would investigate using XEdit, but it's not a plugin.

Maidenfan Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 The fine female outfit of the base game. 2nd variant
Maidenfan Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 These are what I'm trying to replace.
Maidenfan Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 This is sort of the effect I'm trying to get with the likes of Taarie.
Corsayr Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Are you using a mod manager to install this? Like MO, MO2, vortex, NMM?
Corsayr Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 This mod is kind of doing it a weird sort of messed up way... (It is an old mod) Basically I think your problem is that the installed mod is not replacing the path correctly How comfortable are you with xEdit?

I know the basics, but here's the thing: This mod does NOT show up in xEdit, because it's not a plugin. Unless you're talking about getting rid of the original outfits?
Corsayr Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Uninstall that mod and tell me what happens when you install this Fine Outfit 02 to Nocturnal.7z

It's not that important. I can live with the regular outfits. Not that big a deal. I'll keep this page marked so if I do go back to LE, and try this again, I'll have that download file on hand.
Corsayr Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Here ya go final version this will do everything you want Fine Outfit 02 to Nocturnal 1.1.7z
Andy14 Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 Check with CK or TESV-Edit which TextureSet is used. Fine clothing, farmer's clothing, robes etc. not only use the textures that are used in the Nif. These use TextureSets that are defined in the ESP / ESM.
Maidenfan Posted November 11, 2020 Author Posted November 11, 2020 So, My load order and mod list have the nocturnal stuff taking priority over the vanilla textures, and they still have that look. I can't even delete the records.

The Nocturnal Robe is overwriting the Fine Outfits, as it should, but the textures are still messed up. They still look like the screenshot.
Maidenfan Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Okay, so, the Robes don't have a TextureSet when looking at it in xEdit, which is probably why I'm having issues. How on Earth does that happen?

Corsayr Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Try this one Fine Outfit 02 to Nocturnal 1.2.7z
Grey Cloud Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I thought the Nocturnal Robe was a vanilla outfit. My advice: 1. Get rid of the 9-year old mod. 2. In XEdit open the esp of whatever mod you use for Taarie (or whoever). 3. Change the default outfit to the Nocturnal Robe. (Not sure that the Nocturnal Robe has footwear though). 4. Save and exit. Plan B: 1. As above 2. Install a decent clothing replacer. 3. Change individual outfits as required if you still feel the urge. Try this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/89536
