I replaced one of the fine outfits with Nocturnal's Robes from Caliente, but I get this brown and purple texture in it's place.

Exactly as the title describes. I tried replace the fine female outfit with this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2676 and I got in it's place a brown and purple texture instead. I tried installing the fix and that didn't work. I would investigate using XEdit, but it's not a plugin.

You have a screenshot of what you are getting?

also fine female outfit of what mod?

This mod is kind of doing it a weird sort of messed up way...

(It is an old mod)

Basically I think your problem is that the installed mod is not replacing the path correctly

How comfortable are you with xEdit?

Are you using a mod manager to install this? Like MO, MO2, vortex, NMM?

MO2

I know the basics, but here's the thing: This mod does NOT show up in xEdit, because it's not a plugin. Unless you're talking about getting rid of the original outfits?

Check with CK or TESV-Edit which TextureSet is used.

Fine clothing, farmer's clothing, robes etc. not only use the textures that are used in the Nif.

These use TextureSets that are defined in the ESP / ESM.

So, My load order and mod list have the nocturnal stuff taking priority over the vanilla textures, and they still have that look. I can't even delete the records.

I don't fully understand what you are saying here.

You have a custom Nocturnal that is overwriting the vanilla one?

No, and sorry for the confusion. The Nocturnal Robe is overwriting the Fine Outfits, as it should, but the textures are still messed up. They still look like the screenshot.

Okay, so, the Robes don't have a TextureSet when looking at it in xEdit, which is probably why I'm having issues. :( How on Earth does that happen?

I thought the Nocturnal Robe was a vanilla outfit.

My advice:

1. Get rid of the 9-year old mod.

2. In XEdit open the esp of whatever mod you use for Taarie (or whoever).

3. Change the default outfit to the Nocturnal Robe. (Not sure that the Nocturnal Robe has footwear though).

4. Save and exit.

Plan B:

1. As above

2. Install a decent clothing replacer.

3. Change individual outfits as required if you still feel the urge.
