Hi, 

 

This is not a technical question as such but I do need help as I am suffering with information overload

 

New here. I've been lurking a for a couple of weeks and grabbed some sims 3 mods. Enjoyed them so hats off to the creators who made it possible. 

 

However sims 4 has a sale on steam so I decided to indulge on it and buy sims for plus many expansions. 

 

So, with wicked whims mod, what are the ideal and best animations meshes for realism etc. There's just so many. Can you combine two or more animation packs/meshes etc or will they clash. 

 

I don't mind supporting via patron for good content. 

 

Just my mind had been blown and I've no idea where to start. 

 

I've also been looking at reshader/HD mods as I have a decent rig, will these work also or clash with wicked whims and its models etc. 

 

Sorry for the noobish question but I've been playing sims 3 for a couple of weeks or so now moving onto sims 4 and this website is still brand new to me

By animation meshes i guess you mean animation pks? you can have as many as you want...I'd stick with the newer ones as they look, better....mike24....wild guy....oohlalaworld etc

Also a good idea to keep ww in it's own folder and make a folder for the animations too...also folders for cc is a good idea too...hair/tops/shoes etc.

Also always delete the localthumbcache.pkg file every time you add or delete mods or cc....

 

reshaders should be ok with ww....lots of people use them.

Yeah I'm not too familiar with the terminology at the moment. Do you have links to those? Also, recommend any other mods? How about downloads not on LL so I can get buy mode items etc. Totally new to all this. 

 

Also on both sims 3 and 4 when I download a sim they don't look like they did on the screenshot on the download page. Any reason why? Screenshots look more detailed and real.

Just go slow or you'll have a mess and mod overload, lol.

Best to avoid using any default cc body replacements or default skins for now.  

I'd also avoid any HD stuff for now too.

WW Animations, My favorites are MOTHERLOADSIMS, Azmodan22, Mike24, OLL, and Lupobianco, but some others are good too.

You'll find tons more cc online if you search for Sims 4 Hairstyles, Makeup, Clothing, Furniture, etc.

LL download area also has quite some lewd clothing cc and other odds and ends.

 

You don't really need Patreon as so many are available for free.

There are so many good mods and cc for Sims 4 it gets a bit overwhelming.

 

Don't forget to just play the game too as it does have some interesting fun.

For future reference, do you have any information on HD/realistic graphics mods for both sims 3 and 4. I've got a feeling I will switch between the two from time to time.
