Unwanted Dialogue

Found it, MO. It was Snark.esp. It changes vanilla dialogue "Where can i learn more about magic?" Since snarky.esp is last to touch it, Im in ck right now removing that damn fragment that put quest into my journal, no thank you.

FYI, mod is called Sarcastic Player Dialogue. Good mod, it only changed vanilla dialogue,didn't touch scripts. I dont like unwanted quest in my quest journal so I took care of it in CK.

 

This was a tough one to find as it was changing vanilla dialogue, i assumed it was non vanilla dialogue. My first idea was to load all mods into xedit? Terrible idea. Instead of quickly deactivating all mods in MO and activating a particular few at a time for xedit, I said F it, and launched game with only half my mods. Quickly noticed same npc(Skulli) having the vanilla dialogue that got hijacked from snarky mod so I shot out of game and loaded all mods into xedit and found vanilla dialogue in skyrim esm and xedit easily told me what mod was touching it. Then loaded snarky mod in ck and I removed script fragment from script in dialogue and then I was able to remove do nothing script. Only did it for skulli, I start my games in Old Hroldan and dialogue only fires once,easy peasy.

Stupid fragment, there was like 20 responses from various npcs. I only did it for skulli, dialogue can only fire one time so good for me.

Empty fragment! Yup.save that shit. I also removed script from dialogue. Ck was being silly so i had to save and reload to remove script. dont know why that happens sometimes?

Hide those futile quests. There are plenty of mods to delay or make some automatic quests declinable. But as you know the game is plagued with automatic quests that start even by hearing some dialogue for a split second. With HTFQ you can receive any quest objective and you can later hide them in its MCM. It works for every quest, even misc. objectives.

That interesting. Will be taking a look at suggested mod. 

 

Off course having the quest in the journal sucks,lvl 40 you got all these quest that you have done plenty of times over? I remember reading that there is a script firing for every quest you have in your journal, I wonder if suggested mod helps with this. The College of Winterhold and The Civil War are the 2 big ones for me cause they'll sit there forever,maybe do college later on in playthrough, I dont do civil war quest. I think I got those 2 in check. I also have Companions being forced on you in check, no quest journal for companions in my game, instead I 3way Ria and Aela and haul ass.

I have a mine in that town and I have access to some quick skooma at that location in my game. I play with game hard, dont find much treasure(Scarcity mod) and my carry weight starts lower(no quick money grabbing umpteen armors from bandits to sell) So the mine that is at that location gives me a quick septim grab so I can start my adventure with skooma and a little loot. My male play through skooma gets me pussy, i dont go anywhere without it. 

 

I really like original start,even it doesnt work half the time but I like my char being at least a little developed when i start vanilla main quest.

 

 

Those are decent suggestions you made. Never gave either of them a chance in my game,dont recall having good reason. Took a quick look and the reported bugs seem to be nothing burgers. At this stage I have various mods touching various quest,in conconjunction with having solutions for quest that personally bother me so I move forward.

I've used them for years without any problems. TIE gives you loads of options.
