LadycatSarah Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Okay, I'm not sure exactly what's causing all this, but I've noticed that I at least get a crash if I try to open any menu or container shortly after entering the overworld. I'm just northwest of Shoal's Rest Farm and if I turn to the waterfall off the cliff to the right, I see a half-dead stag that I had fought and as soon as the waterfall is in view I crash. Though it seems that avoiding looking at the waterfall also makes me crash when I get far enough away, so I really don't know what it is. Unfortunately, this is also the first time since installing all my mods I've actually managed to get out to the overworld. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? When I have time I'll be uninstalling mods one-at-a-time to test it, but it would be nice to have an idea what the problem is going in. Grey Cloud Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 Remove all your mods and make sure you have a stable vanilla game before adding mods. Add mods a few at a time, checking as you go. Make sure all the other programs you need such as your mod manager and LOOT for example, are working correctly. Though the cart ride seemed perfectly stable when I first tested it, so I don't know if I need to go further into the game to check or not. Beyond that I planned to do your other suggestion and reinstall a handful of mods at a time
LadycatSarah Posted October 18, 2020 Author Posted October 18, 2020 I've got it down to infrequent crashes now, and figured out something was wrong with SLUTS and Slaverun, Mostly now I just have to make sure I quicksave before opening a door

CTDs are not a common occurrence in a properly configured game. If you need help then ask.
