Yeah Lets talk about Patreon

In my country we have serious problems with piracy when it comes to physical products. piracy serves to give the poorest access to a product with great benefit. but when it comes to a virtual product, pirates just steal to sell at prices very close to the originals, even creating a kind of monopoly. in the case I'm describing, criminals are trying to monopolize the market and still use hypocrisy to call what they do work.
now specifically speaking of MG, in fact there is a lot of work behind the mods, time spent, energy etc. Besides that. patreon's mods are incredible and worth every penny and because there is competition between them the prices are not absurd. so my vote is neutral. due to each case, it must be analyzed independently.

Well, you kinda gotta know who to sue. On top of that, it costs money to file suit, and they've probably lost enough of that already just for the klub's existence. I wasn't around for the initial fight, but I'm sure the most they've ever really done is tp publicly humailiate any web hosting services that might be willing to sell them a dot-com.. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that's what just happened to the MG.

I'm still wondering why thri.xxx hasn't gone after patreon creators for creating content for tk17 and IP theft. It's an outright ban on thri.xxx's forums for even *mentioning* tk17. Anyways, the more mods the merrier I suppose, and if I could contribute, I would (regarding the lurkers comment). Provide a means and I will help. The last time I tried to use Collatrane's tools, blender 2.81 crashed, and after spending 2 days trying to make it work, I gave up. I refuse to subscribe to $100/mo autodesk for a porn game.

That's the thing. Unlike what the butthurt idiot thinks...contributing doesn't involve putting out content. Just consistent interaction within the community is enough. Instead of just hitting thank you, actually type out "Thank you for sharing" in a comment. That's enough for most creators. Just a little appreciation is enough to be a contributing member. A concept some thin-skinned losers clearly can't quantify it would seem.

Regarding Patreon, It looks like they've already decided for you...

 

Rule #13: "We are a free and open community; members requiring payment for mods, support, or putting anything behind a paywall will be removed without warning., yadda, yadda..."

 

BTW, I greatly enjoyed reading the house rules... especially when the kid in the banner looks like she might be 12!  lol
