Demonwise Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Soooo, apparently I did something stupid again. I just installed the updated revised editions of setbody, tomango setbody, the revised tomango maternity clothes, and the updated hiyokoclub mods. That's when I noticed that my save games were crashing the game if I tried to load them. Ok well that's a minor inconvenience but nothing that wasn't expected. So I figure I would just start a new game. Well low and behold when I go to hit the new game button and is say, "are you sure?" and I say, "Yes damn it, I'm sure!" nothing happens. It just goes back to the main menu without starting a new game. Now I can't say that these new mods are what caused it because I haven't tried to run new game for a while. So I don't know when the glitch started happening. I am doing a clean re-install hoping that it will change things but who knows. Any and all help is most welcome. Here is the load order although it is rather stripped down in an attempt to start the game with as little mods running as I can:My load order.rtf EDIT: Ok so I just reinstalled the game and move all mods back to the game directory. Still having the problem. So clearly it is a mod but I don't have a clue which one. And if that wasn't enough I am pretty sure that it is not an esp or esm that is causing it. Beacause as I mentioned above I deavtivated all the mods except the ones that I was sure would not cause an issue. The problem persisted. SOOOOOO I don't know if it is an ini file or a script or something that may be causing it but the only way that I can think to find out is to actually start to completely uninstall mods one at a time to find the culprit. Now I would much rather not do that as all these mods would take several hours to get working again. Soooo.... if someone has a better idea as to how to go about debugging this. I would love the help. By the way here is the full load order that I was running before things went to hell. HanPL Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Oblivion.esm should be at the top of the load order. Did you you BOSS to sort our your load order ? Because it looks really messy. Also go to My Games/Oblivion remove Oblivion.ini (or move it somewhere else )

I will try to remember to come back when I truly have a monster of a problem that everyone will have to burn a lot of brain cells to help fix. Heh.

Demonwise Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 hmm well now that I have it working I have another problem and I'm not sure if I should make a new post in reference to it. Now that the game is working I am having problems with the meshes in the game. All of my meshes are showing signs that the skeletons are corrupted. The boobs and butt go flying off in all directions!!! A cluster-fuck of geometry!!! Now I can recall having this problem before when I moved all my mods back into a re-install directory. That being said I can't remember what the solution was and apparently my original post was deleted so I can't go back and find the answer. I have already tried re-installing all the body meshs. I recall that it may have been a mod activated that was causing problems. So I will try deactivating mods to see if that does the trick.

At this point I'm pretty sure that it is a mod conflict. So that being said I will post my current load order. If someone has any ideas as to which mod may be the one causing the conflict please let me know. EDIT: So it would probably help if I ACTUALLY uploaded my load order. I guess it is pretty obvious that the only mods that would be conflicting would be one that actually changed the skeletons in the game. Although I'm not sure which mods do that. Now at that time I WASN'T having problems. Soo I though that I would enable only the mods that had been running at the time when the game was last working. Well I did that and started from a clean save and still am having mesh skeleton cluster fucks. I even replaced the skeletons with Coronerras maximum compatability skeleton twice just to make sure. Still no luck.
movomo Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Make sure that you've done Archive Invalidation correctly. First install the LoversLab skeleton mk2. I'd recommend the performance version or modders version. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/13516-lovers-animation-workshop-skeleton-mark-ii/ Then check if your BSA redirection is correct. Assuming you are using OBMM (which is the best when it comes to archive invalidation), your Oblivion.ini should look like sArchiveList=..\obmm\BSARedirection.bsa, Oblivion - Meshes.bsa, ...
Bashis Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 i had this issue as well, where meshes would screw up even with everything installed correctly, archive wasnt working, try this, install wry bash and open it once, if you dont want to use it then fine, i personally cant stand it and dont use it, but running the program once caused it to do some sort of archive invalidation of its own, and its the only one that would actually work on my setup, so if you cant get your meshes to work just try installing it, running it, deleting the bashed patch it makes and see what happens. by runnign i just mean opening the program, dont actually do anything inside it.

Didn't think that was the problem because if there was a problem with the archive invalidation then the body would not have shown up at all. I will try wry bash and see if that helps.

You are a genius!!! not a genius, but the exact same thing happened to me when i had to completely reinstall the game due to a stroke of stupidity. i dont know what kind of black magic wry bash has integrated into it but it just makes things work by having it there, even if you swear never to use it (like me).
movomo Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Wrye bash installer checks CRCs and reset their timestamp when the first run. You can see your files modified date became 2000-01-01 or so. I think that's the trick.
