The gibberish they gave is what is needed to alter a character via console (the gibberish is because it is encoded, while your is on an almost human readable javascript structure). The gave that because until last update (meaning yesterday) that was the only way to alter a NPC as you couldn't create your own profile. Â

Darknell Posted November 25, 2020 Posted November 25, 2020 Go into the dev tools via console access. Use the portrait tool. Paste the dna string to see it and/or modify it. To put it into the game do the following Move the character you want to modify to your court (may or may not still be necessary) Find the character's id number Copy it Save the game Open the save file with a archiving software winrar, winzip, etc Move the game state into the save folder Open the game state file with notepad++ search the characters id number followed by ={  so it should look like this 123456={ Look for the dna string, highlight it and replace it with the one from this site. Save the edits Rename the file whatever you like with .ck3 at the end of the file name. Note that without the same mods it might not work.

It's getting complicated. open the portait editor in debug mode, paste the string into the "paste dna" option. Then copy the persistent DNA. This is what the character creator uses. I have tried a few and it seems to be a 50/50 shot as to whether or not it actually puts it in the ruler designer

Â She might also be impacted by a brighter portrait mod, and the beauty trait she has, however, I loaded up the save I have with her with all mods disabled, and her facial structure still looks the same. I know in the genes folder, but thats about it and I feel that wont work super well  If you want to make a custom starting ruler, you just copy the genes to your clipboard, and then paste it inside the character creator interface.  If you want to change the genes of an already existing character, you have to extract the save file into a un-zippable format, and then find your character's entry in the ginormous text file. Then you find that character's list of genes, and you replace them with the ones you want.

I tried to change the look by copying and pasting the dna using cheat engine ( which worked initially ) but now after updating the game, everytime i paste the dna in the cheat table, the appearance doesnt match with the picture.
