Hook 3/4/5 Discussion

Hello.
I hope someone can help me here and it's about, I want to use skins, stockings etc on my H5.
But every time I use stockings the texture goes away from the skin.
I downloaded the 4x mod but i guess the stockings i still have from MG are not 4x
Would be really nice if someone can help me out there.

I remember this problem from my attempt at using hook 5. Are you using a body mod, not 4x mod but a body replacer mod? Why I don't know, all but a few body replacer mods caused this problem. It happens every time you put on or remove pantyhose or stockings. Alt+R to reload all textures I think will fix the problem.

I gave up on body replacer mods because they cased too many problems like this and clipping.

Don't remember for sure, do 4x stockings require "mod_" prefix like skins do.

Hi all!) How's it going fellas? Been a fan of Klub17 for some years, too bad modsgarden is offline.... Glad there's a community here. I've been searching for a couple of files and still can't find them. Maybe you guys have any? I was using Hook 3 "cartoonish" graphic enhancement before, since it goes well with my so called vision, and also Lindsey.Custom x1 body texture as well as black guy shaved x1 texture. Maybe someone has this and can share? Would be very appreciated.

There's a way to convert a hook 4 room to hook 5?

I have an old version of H5M Converter wich can convert H4M files to H5M. Works fine with single objects but maybe not with big rooms. Don't know, but it's worth a try ;o)

It will surely interest some people that pervokpetr has released a free version of hook5. A key is no longer necessary ... He will not stop the project entirely, but it would be helpful to pay your respects to him - his work is exceptional! I think it should be clarified that its "not" free as you still have to sub to his patreon as this statement might create certain people to create some kind of drama. But yes, a key is no longer needed which many people were annoyed by his "DRM" tactic.

I agree, his work is superb as he made an old game look good in today's current standard.

Just like the program it's written for, it'll be free as soon as it lands on any of a thousand mod sites just itching to get their hands on it. I give it a week, tops. Will that be "dramatic" enough for ya?

If it does. It has already been a week since he announced it and it has not leaked.  I am sure it will but the people who did pay for it do have a lot of respect for what Pervk has done.  I doubt it will be leaked here, as it could easily be reported to the mods and taken down. Nothing is full proof, but these days less places to leak it.

Well, just have a look a few posts back. It's already being interpreted as "free". Now it's just a matter of time. And you're not the only TK17 modding site on the Internet. Suffice it to say, when you see me running it, you'll know it's in the wild, as I don't give my credit card information to porn sites (or their affiliates).

 

Then again, you probably won't see me running it, cuz I don't use the versions I DO have, but once in a blue moon. lol

ich have buy and installed the Hook5 Version. After replace the Files and Hook5 Folder, I start the Game and this Error Message comes:

 

DirectX Version 8 or higher is not installed or damaged.

Location:
  RenderEngineDirectX8_D::InitializeRenderWindow
Function:
  LoadLibrary("d3d8.dll")

 

What must I do to running the game?

There is dxgi.dll file in Binaries folder move it to some where else and try to restart game.

Have you installed:

 

DirectX Apr 2006

DirectX Feb 2010

MSVC 2012 x86

 

These are required to get Hook5 working. You can find them on Microsoft's site.

Could you be a little more specific about your meaning of  "never work"?

 

Do they just not show up in the game?

Do they show up but the characters are not aligned?

Or some other problem?

Which version of the game are the poses intended for, and which version of the game are you attempting to use the poses in?

I think my version is 2.114.001?
and what I mean is I put them in the correct folder but in game when I click on them to use them in quick mode or freemode it doesn't do anything.

I am almost certain that you are trying to use poses that were created in VX in 7.5.

Vx is version 2.158.001 and if you try to use poses created by VX in 7.5, they will not work.

You can try and put the poses in your "import" folder and then use the content importer to convert them for use in 7.5.

Not saying for sure that it will work, but I have had luck with 7.5 poses into VX with the content importer. Not 100%, but a lot of them.

Oh right, thank you! sorry I didn't really explain my issue clearly the first time around.
I just thought it wasn't really the version but I did something wrong and no search results really helped, so I was hoping someone could tell me
what was going on.
