KitKatKseniya Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Hey, probably a completely nooby question (I hope) , but I was wondering how to get Nifs and textures of vanilla FO4 armour. I can find them easily enough for modded armour but I assume the vanilla stuff is packed up somehow to reduce size? Basically I wanted to get the files for the DC guard heavy helmet, so that I could make a new armour of, and edit the textures so that I have a helmet that says Slut on it after my characters spent some time in the diamond city jail. If any knows how I can get hold of these files please let me know, thanks!

KitKatKseniya Posted July 26, 2020 Author Posted July 26, 2020 Managed to get everything extracted, but any changes I make in GIMP don't show on the nif in outfit studio. I think this might be a bit above me ? lol

I think this might be a bit above me ? lol Did you look at part three and double checked the setting's of the guide I linked above ? https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Fallout_4._Part_3 . sorry I'm not much help but I have only really used paint.net to import textures.

I'll have a read through but I think it might be a bit much for my brain ?
