Blub2500 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 Hello, I have this very odd bug. Whenever I sleep in an area where I told my followers to remain (via aft) they vanish. I tried to find out where they go via console commands and it turns out they're trapped in an empty cobblestone room (see picture). There are also a few non-follower npcs, vannila (e.g. Ysolda) and modded ones. Heroine HoneyCrotch Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 My guess is you have something that overwrote a vanilla ai package that these followers use, the package they would have been assigned would have been good but something has overwrote it. Main packages used by followers is defaultsandbox current location and defaultsandbox editor location. My guess is something is overwriting those packages and your follower have those vanilla packages assigned to them Load all mods into xedit, open a follower mod that has follower disappearing and see what packages they use, then open skyrim.esm and find those packages and see what in your load order is overwriting them. On my end, i had a mod making a safe edit on both mainly used vanilla Packages, No follower mod should change these, on my end both came out of merged follower mods that i have and I went to both mods,xedit, and deleted the package from those mods, if its a follower mod changing these ai packages either it was an accident or mod author didn't make good mod, should never have those 2 AI's overwriting by follower mods,and every time I have seen this happen it has been 100% safe to delete the AI package change from those mods esp via xedit.

Can I somehow delete my post and reopen it in the SE section or will a moderator move this thread eventually? As for the mods you referred to, they have an esl flag.

As for the overwrites, I mean the AI-packages. Followers that have their assigned packages overwritten by another mod disappear as much as followers who have no overwrites in that regard. The only other "vanilla" NPC is Hulda but they're not fully vanilla because these NPCs are affected by overhaul mods (Ysolda by Bijin and Hulda by the ordinary women). I'm suspecting that this entire thing might have something to do with amazing follower tweaks, Sofia for instance who isn't managed by aft doesn't seem to disappear while all aft followers disappear. However in that case I'm not sure how Ysolda and Hulda made it into that room.

Presumably you didn't dismiss them while you took a nap right? And fwiw, why aren't they sleeping when you do? My followers all sleep when I sleep.

I can summon the lost followers via the "summon all" aft command but they disappear again when I sleep and I can only use the commands three times, after that aft tells me to wait.

I think I found the culprit/s, "follow me for sex" and "amazing follower tweaks" seem to have some issues. I turned the former off and the disappearances stopped. Thanks for your help!

For some reason the disappearances stopped but after I have fast traveled to whiterun and back the disappearances started to happen again. I'll continue testing Edit: Finally resolved it, it was the mod closing time (part of a merge I forgot about)
