auwio Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 Hi I recently upgraded my specs but I seemingly only get a 10-15fps boost outdoors. (FPS outside whiterun are around 35). I feel like my game should be at least above 50 fps outdoors, but maybe I'm wrong. Does anyone know how I can get the maximum performance out of the new hardware? gtx 1060 6gb to rtx 2080 Super ryzen 5 1600x to ryzen 5 3600x I'm using Silent Horizons ENB and my Modlist is attached ModList.txt
Yinkle Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 If you upgraded your hardware and haven't changed any settings then wysiwyg.
coolfreaky Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 if you kept you skyrim.ini , skyrimprefs.ini and emblocal.ini than you need to fix inside : the video card ref , shaders and more . the best if you did not is to do all the ini settings again enb as well .

Because I expect a current gen highend GPU not to perform the same as a low-midrange GPU from two generations ago. CPU and GPU work well together and I've seen people with the same hardware and more extensive modlists, archieve ~50-60FPS througout the game. That's why I'm assuming that there are settings that have to be tweaked.
agiz19 Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 One thing is you have to disable Vsync in ENB but leave Frame Limiter ON and enable Vsync in Nvidia Control Panel for Skyrim SE App.
monsta88 Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 I find this strange. When I had 980Ti card with an i7 3770K processor on W7, I still had to use fps limiter to keep it under 60 (in LE, 1080p). Otherwise sometimes it went over 200 and the physics got crazy. The SE was even faster, especially when I switched to W10. I'm assuming that ENB you are using f**ks with your fps in a big way. You may want to checks its config files as well.
