NotHereForever Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 So I just got Skyrim Special Edition and started modding it. I got kinda used to modding thanks to F4 and thought this time modding would go smoother. I'll give you a hint, fate doesn't like me... I was looking for some sex mods and found the matchmaker mod. I picked the light version because it said it was compatible with SE and thought "great, this should work" (I also downloaded all required mods as well, yes, including the correct script extender and yes, I also did the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe thingy). So I got ingame, equipped the irresistible spells, each in one hand, "and I started blastin'". Sadly, the spells were falsely advertised because they're quite easy to resist, as each time I tried to cast it on someone, the text "Your spell fizzles and fails to affect this actor" appears. I looked through some forums and found I was not the only one, however I did not find a solution... If anyone can help me with this, 't would be greatly 'preciated. I know I didn't give much information, but I just don't know what I should give. If you are willing to help, just tell me what information to give and how to give it. I'm kind of a dunce on this subject. Thanks in advance.
Ashal Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 It generally means the actors you targeted aren't valid targets for animation. This can happen for a variety of reasons: The character is a child, which can't be used with sexlab. The character is using a custom race that doesn't have the ActorTypeNPC keyword. This is rare among some lesser known custom races. SexLab hasn't been fully installed yet. Did you check the MCM page to make sure it was installed? The only way to know for sure would be to check the papyrus debug log, which should print out an error message for why sexlab rejected a character.

I didn't try anything on any child, so you can stop calling the police now. 2. I have no custom race mods installed. 3. I think the problem lies here I have seen multiple times that you need to install SexLab within the game in MCM, but I just don't get the option to. I hope you have modded your game to look different, because it seems to me we are playing different games. And again, I have no install option in the SexLab subsetting in MCM. Please tell me why this isn't there and most importantly how I make it so it is there. Thanks again. Oh, as I was checking the SL mod, I saw a section called 'requirements' and everything noted below got verified with 'Ok', so it doesn't seem like I'm missing a mod...
coolfreaky Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 something is wrong about your install and has nothing to do with fate !!! can you provide your Load Order to see what mod you have and how you installed them . a Papyrus log sometime it gives hints about what is happening and the FNIS log output it is always interesting to see if there is no skeleton error or any error about anims i do not use matchmaker but a sentence with far resemblance in an other mod suggest that animations are not registered or not installed !

NotHereForever Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 Ok, so, the game launches and all works well. Animations are enabled and registered, but spells still fizzle and fail. I'm really at a loss. If anyone can tell me the issue or send me the download link too SexLab SE (not light), that'd be great!
NotHereForever Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 I solved the issue... For some weird dumb reason, to initiate a sex animation, you don't need the irresistibly attractive spells, but the SexLab Debug spells. Why? Yes. Still, thank you all for helping me with my other issues.

Second, thanks for telling me about the 'light version' issue. Third, I hadn't opened Skyrim normally, because, why would I? I was trying to play modded and it wouldn't open. If there are any more suspicions, I'll send a screenshot of the game in my Steam Library, but it seems unnecessary... Thanks again!
