Violence6884 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I created a Bosmer non Vampire character and ended up somehow with a neck seam or rather a visible difference of colour between body and face, starting from the neck. Not sure if it counts as a neck seam, that. Probably just as literal discolouration as there is no gap. In any case, I went into RaceMenu to mess around with colours and clicked on the head part slider, setting it to FemaleHeadWoodElfVampire and that fixed the issue. That's good but then when I become a Vampire for real, the issue comes back and changing head parts at that point, distorts my head completely... I am 100% lost. Help? :$$

As Psalam indicated, diagnosing visual issues is hard without a visual.

Help? :$$ could be your skin maps like muscles or sweaty skin mods, but yeah you need to post examples
Violence6884 Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 I apologize, in my haste and somewhat of a panic I forgot to include some. Will do right now and edit this post with them. Thank you. Edit : Here are the screens, LL doesn't seem to be working too well right now so I can't edit in captions for each to explain what I'm doing but at least I named them appropriately, so by checking each screen's name you can find what is what. I am very sorry, it's not me, LL has been having problems all day. I'll try to edit again to make it all more convenient when LL gets sorted.

No particular faces or anything. Just what comes with it. And of course its requirements, and I have made sure the right things overwrite what they are supposed to, according to FairSkin's installation instructions. Wait, I am using Kai's Make Up which is I think layers. But... Does that even matter? All it does is basically apply layers like what you see on the lips. I mean... I don't know. Also why does it happen if I wait? So basically as time passes? I thought issues like that were consistent, here it looks like time passing somehow triggers it. One more curiosity - Is it the head that is changing, or the body? Because for example in the pic were I waited a few hours in game, the body texture starts looking like sand paper texture.

I tried all of FairSkin's options including the default and the matte skins, and I tried all the solutions the author suggests- None works, including the BlankDetailMap Fix he suggests and another file that does the same, called UnMasked Faces.

Violence6884 Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 Basically as soon as I load my Save and wait in game, it either changes my body or my head and that's the result. But I have no idea what could be doing such a thing, more so related to time passing. It's a fresh install, days old. Skyrim hadn't even been installed before on that PC.

Plus I've picked almost all options in my efforts to narrow it down and all had this result either way... In fact the only one I have yet to install is precisely goose bumps...

I mean, I wish I could but I am using Vortex and that thing doesn't seem to have an actual load order... Which I am also coming to regret at the moment because this might be a simple case of putting something over or under something else back in NMM... Which I am not going to change to, as it would mean installing a lot of stuffz from scratch. Is there a way to at least somehow produce a mod list in text form in Vortex?

Unfortunately I don't know, I don't use Vortex and a quick google-fu looks like it doesn't have that feature and people use LOOT to export their load orders. ?

There you go, except some things in there like for example some combat difficulty related mods are neither ordered nor am I sure I'll keep them yet. It's all a WIP but quite honestly, except this nonsense with the discolouration and some inconsistencies in combat until I sort out what to keep, it's all working fine. It's pretty frustrating at this point :S Oh and I removed clothes and armours to make the load order sorter for you to go through. They don't affect the issue at hand in any way. LoadOrder.txt
Violence6884 Posted May 12, 2020 Author Posted May 12, 2020 I'm editing to remove some mistaken assumptions, it is not specific to T waiting but to time passing, in essence actually tied to Night/Day therefore I assume, to lighting. So can it be something with my ENB(4Chromatic)?... Maybe FairSkin is just not reacting well to it? I don't really know any more.

LoadOrder.txt 8.2 kB · 0 downloads Nothing Springs out to me, I've even checked the ones I didn't recognise to see if they contained anything that might do this but I can't see anything there. It looks like something is replacing the Specular texture file (femalebody_s) so it no longer matches the head but if that is happening I can't see any mod that would do it. Maybe someone else will recognise something, I don't use the majority of the mods you have.

Maybe someone else will recognise something, I don't use the majority of the mods you have. First, I appreciate your effort to help me, going through my LO and all that. Really nice of you, thank you. Second, I found it is related lighting and caused by my ENB which is 4Chromatic by Sloth. Turning off "UseEffect" in the in game ENB menu makes the discolouration really hard to see, but does introduce a very thin, barely perceivable neck seam. The problem is, turning that option off practically cancels out the ENB, no point having it... So, not good. Not to mention I'd then have to find a way to deal with that thin neck seam. Edit - It's the ENB I am using, author is working on a new version which should be more compatible. Problem solved.
