lupus_hegemonia Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 "Just like that", few days ago, the NMM of my friend George says "Unrecognized Game" or some like that. He was using NMM for SSE & FO4. What happen??? He didn't changed anything to NMM settings. Now, he need to manually (as I do) downloading the mods and install them via NMM. How come the app (NMM) stopped auto-downloading his files?
Aylis Posted April 24, 2020 Posted April 24, 2020 It isn't supported anymore. Nexus wants you to switch to Vortex - i'd recommend using 'Mod Organizer 2' instead (as i had 'a few' issues with Vortex).
SpyVsPie Posted April 25, 2020 Posted April 25, 2020 Just update to the newest version and it will work fine.

lupus_hegemonia Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 But I am using the newest NMM. And no, I can't use the MO2. The MO2 is creating a "virtual" (fake) Data folder and installing the mods there - and the highest is overwriting the lowest. That's not working for me, I want to see the current running ingame textures, when I'm entering the Data/Textures folder. I'm editing directly the textures and I want them all together to checking them. The MO2 is perfect manager for users, but not for textures modding authors (like me).

lupus_hegemonia Posted May 5, 2020 Author Posted May 5, 2020 Yes, this one. Anyways, not big deal, I can manually installing them.

You can explore the VFS with a couple of clicks. You can also see and compare every instance of a file if more than one mod is providing said file, without needing to install/uninstall/reinstall anything. You might get actual help if you ask the people who maintains the rogue version of NMM. I think most people here have jumped to Vortex because they think is easier, use MO2 or don't use a mod manager at all because they know too much.
