adrian8520 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I have vanilla skyrim and sse, and have been playing for as long as they have been out. In that time, I have switched from HDD, to HDD, to SSD, to NVME SSD, and every time I do, I lose my modded skyrim As someone who loves adult skyrim, I remember for Oblivion there were some overhauls that kind of wore many hats: nude mods, sex mods, updated textures and environments, sex related questlines and more. These were really helpful for me! I could download an overhaul, apply an enb preset, and not have to worry about conflicting mods. I was never very good at using BOSS and always used NMM. Does anyone know of a guide with a masterdownload of mods instead of a large list that I have to download individually or do any overhauls exist that are what I'm looking for? It would make me so happy if all I had to do was download 11gb of mods, apply them all in whatever order is recommended, and apply an enb preset. I'd love to explore someone else's modded world like that, and also take advantage of having to do less of the complicated stuff, and not having to spend all that time testing in between mods. I hope some of you understand! Its a process I've done many times before. Also: does anyone recommend starting with SSE or vanilla if I'm looking to heavily mod? Thanks in advance!

I can totally appreciate that. Modding Skryim is like a second job to me at times. Unfortunately there isn't like that for Skyrim - a compilation of sorts that work all together. The problem with that; though, is that mods are updated. If you download a large package of merged mods and one gets updated there would be no way of updating that single mod. You'd have to download the whole thing again. I haven't used NMM for a long time and MO, which was a little learning curve for me at the time of changing over, is hands-down the best mod manager. What I have is a separate partition where I store my downloaded mods. So, you can have a separate location from your installs and that way you'll never loose your stuff. If you keep MO at the same location it keeps your load order in a profile. It will then install the files for your game and be separate at the same time.

And backup whatever files you need from your skyrim folder as well. Ive done it multiple times without issues. You just have to set it up correctly before you paste it back. Dont forget to reinstall before you copy everything back to your skyrim folder. Well i dont use a mod manager so dont know how it works for people that use one tho. But i have problaby 400 esp's or so and it works without issues when i reinstall it.
