Mods Not Working with MO2

So I'm brand new to modding on PC, and I'm trying to use mods for SSE via MO2, but I can't figure out for the life of me, how to get them to work. Whenever I try to launch the game with them "active", my game is no different from the regular game. basically how I tried to install the mods, I went to MO2, installed the mods from the archives and launched the game through the skse loader. I also tried to launch it regularly but same thing, nothing different. I feel like I'm missing something that should be obvious. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to launch the game from MO2

I tried that, it popped up with "preparing vfs" but after that went away nothing happened. I tried launching it in MO2 with skse instead of the actual game, same thing, preparing vfs and then nothing.

then your build is unstable

you need to look as some step guides and fix it.

First thing you will want to check is the error icon, that little triangle in the screenie below. You want it to look like it does on the bottom. Clicking it will tell you what the issue/issues are

That is definitely a problem

You are using LE (Legendary Edition) mods on a Special Edition (SE) build.

You need to replace those mods with SSE versions

You need to do some reading. Try starting with the guides posted by @agiz19 above. You have to learn how to correctly set up Skyrim and how to use the various tools before you can expect to load it with mods and everything will just work.

That's the thing though, all of the archives for those mods either said they're for SSE/SE or they didn't specify

This is not a guess, those mods are 100% NOT SE mods. That is what MO is telling you

Okay then how can I tell which mods are meant for SE and which ones aren't? Because the archives say they're meant for SE but MO's saying they're not meant for SE

This is just an example of one of the mods you have on there but it shows what you missed

Okay so I finally got the SSE versions of the mods, but now whenever I continue from my last save, it crashes in the middle of loading.

You're probably going to have to start a new game

Like start over from the beginning to get a clean save.

It did the same thing when I tried that

Did you use the "Sort" Button on the Plugin tab? That can solve quiite a few potential problems with your plugin load order.

Well I got past the loading screen thanks to that, but it's still crashing.

In the screenshot you posted I see quite a few animation packs. While I'm not sure it is the issue for the crash, going beyond the animation limit will cause problems.

I suggest you switch to the XXL version of FNIS and also increase the animation limit of SexLab.

The former you can find directly in FNIS own entry in Nexus under optional files and for the latter either get the fix directly from "Sexlab More Animations 1.0.1" or you can use other mods that also include the fix like "SexLab Utility Plus" by OsmelMC
