Lovers can't start sex acts-Offender is not ready?

I keep getting this message whenever I try to initiate sex acts with NPC's, it works fine with creatures and monsters though. The message is something along the lines of:

 

"Lovers can't start sex acts

zme = (Player Character)

xme = (The NPC I have sex with)

Offender is not ready for sex"

 

They do get into position though, and I can hear the sounds but whenever I try to click "OK" it just keeps on reappearing.

Sometimes it would only appear once and sex would proceed as normal, but the next time I do it or load a save the rapid-fire message box appears and sex can't start.

 

I didn't really add anything new to my load order this time other than the themed loading screens :/ 
But I don't think that would affect anything related to the Lovers mods? Just to be safe I re-installed all of my Lovers-related mods but the message still keeps on appearing.

Sex does not start ( error message)

 

If it is not a missing animation  ( ...SPos (xy) not found )


1) Maybe the last time this NPC had sex, the sex script was not finished properly. So the NPC can not start "new" sex.
A spell was not correctly removed. ( Can happen when you leave a cell while two NPCs have sex )
If you are trying to have sex with such an NPC, you will get the dialog message "I'm not ready" or a pop-up message saying "NPC is not ready to have sex".

 

opening the console:
Click on the NPC
then type:  remove spell xx03BFD5
XX is the load order ID of the Lovers with PK.esm ( check the number in your modmanger )

2) If you do not receive an error message after using dialog or sex spell, but the sex animation does not start and the player and NPC are in T position, body in body, your load oder is wrong.

 

 

Load order is ok. ( Maybe Deadly Reflex 5 ? )

Have you tried sex with a new character ? Maybe the bug is in your save.

 

 

If you can not fix it you have to find the "bad" Mod.

Deactivate some Mods ( 10 or more. I would start with the Mods after Lovers) and try it. Best with a new character.

Deactivate more and more Mods until sex works.  Then activate one by one the last deactivated Mods until sex does not work. Then you know the Bad mod and can delete it.

Yeah, it happens with any NPC I try to have sex with, but creatures and animal sex is fine-I tested it with the Lovers Summon Creature spell and they rape my player character with no error message. I'll try removing Deadly Reflex 5, but even prior to this particular bug I was able to play Deadly Reflex fine with the Lovers mods. I tried a new save and the bug still persists in the same way-first time trying sex the message appears but I'm able to click OK once and sex starts normal, but any other time whether it be from a load game or in that same save starting sex a second time makes the message appear again and sex can't start. 

I'll try doing the remove spell method and see if it works. And I'll try to deactivate and see if it's some sort of mod conflict even though I've used these mods before without any problem with the Lovers mods, ty fejeena.

And you say you was able to have sex without bugs?   Then it must be one of the last installed mods. Disable these Mods and try if you can have sex.

New NPC's, the bug happens. Okie I'll try using a test new game.

Check instead any pose or idle or animation mods.  

The "not ready" error generally occurs due to another animation firing and blocks LPK from working.

Ah, okay that kind of narrows it down a bit, I'll try and see if I downloaded any animation mods and disable them for good measure.

Tried a new game + uninstalled some animation mods (Namely Kaizit's New Animations for NPC and Feminized Walk) but I still got the same error message pop up when I started sex with an NPC in King and Queen Tavern. Do Blockheadized animations or FOMO Moments (Which is a compilation of pose mods for screnshots) conflict? I've used them before with Lovers and didn't have any kind of error like this. 

 

EDIT: I forgot to mention-during a new games I tried to use the "Rape Me" spell on an NPC and sex started without the error message but no animations were playing-only sounds. Next time I tried by quitting the game and loading, the error message appeared.

 

EDIT2: I think it might be linked to consensual sex? I tried to use the Rape Me spell again and sex proceeded as normal-my character got gangraped without any error whatsoever but whenever I try to initiate sex via the "Want to have some fun for a price?" or "Want to have some alone time?" options that's when the error starts popping up when an NPC and I go to a private space.

 

EDIT3: It might be Lovers Hooker???? I'm using the 3.0 Dukky version if that's any help. And the error only seems to pop up if I'm the one initiating the sex-sex proceeded as normal when I waited and an NPC approached me for sex, but if I'm the one who comes up to an NPC and asks if they want sex the error pops up. I tried using both Dukky's version and Gabrial's version of Hooker and both had the same error happen.

Tried that and the results were:
Was able to successfully pay for a room with sex instead of gold without any error message

The error message popped up when I tried to ask an NPC with the whole "Hey want to have some fun for a price?" or the one that didn't require them to pay.

Have you tired to install LAPF again?

First LAPF

Then you have to install LovesCreatures again ( or unpack Lovers Creatures and copy the LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp and LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp  in your game data folder ( they have to overwrite the LAPF LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp and LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp  )

The correct order would be

LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp

LoversHooker.esp

LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP_HookerPatch.esp
LoversVoiceSSPplus.esp

 

 

But I have in my  game

are low, after bravilUnderground.

Two not perfect sorted Mods

They should be up to the Tamago/Hiyoko Mods.  But they can not cause the "can not start sex bug"

Then you really have to deactivate "all" mods and try to find the bad Mod.

If it is no "No-Lovers-Mod"  deactivate also all the Lovers Mods you don't need. And all Tamago/Hiyoko Mods.

Only LAPF, Lovers creatues (esp and esm) and LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp and LoversVoiceSSPplus.esp ( and of course the LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp and LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp ).

When the sex works install a Lovers Hooker version and test again.

And when you have working sex install more Lovers Mods, and test often, do not install all at once.

Tried one more re-install of LAPF + Creatures and re-arranged my load order to match, but the bug still persists-again it only appears if I choose the "How about spending some alone time?" option, otherwise any kind of sex act-rape, prostitution, creature and monster sex all work normally. I guess it's not so much of a loss since I don't use that feature all that much and would rather prefer whoring my pc out anyway? I've been playing through the game normally otherwise with the Lovers plugins.

That is female player ask male NPC.

 

So Female Player ask female NPC works?  "Want to fuck me...?" and "How about a good fuck?"

 

"How about spending some alone time..?"  is LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp ( no new dialogs options in LoversVoiceSSPplus.esp )

I will test it ( normally my female character fucks females and let males pay for set. Don't know when I used "How about spending some alone time..?"  ... or if I ever used it.

 

EDIT:
I fucked 3 times whit the same male NPC and then with another male NPC, all works fine.

Don't know why only this sex does not work in your game  but rape and hooker sex ( female player - male NPC ) works.

Tried it with a female NPC both options led to the error again. I don't really know either ?, but at this point I think I'll just maybe live with it and continue as normal without having to choose that option, thanks for the help and tips tho! ?

I get the same error when I try to initiate sex with my companion Vilja. The message was there from the start and always appears multiple times, I can dismiss them and then sex starts as normal. The error is caused in script "xLoversPkrCheckStart" in "Lovers with PK.esp". For some unknown reason the calls for "xLoversCmnIsReady" return 0 for the player and Vilja.

Because I was sick of clicking those popups I commented the following line:

  


MessageBoxEx " Lovers can't start sex acts %rxme = %n%rzme = %n%z" xme zme str

 

Now everything runs as expected.

I had the same problem too, I added a new xLoversCmnIsReady in the last script just before the sex act is called. It worked before, and then the last three periods that i have played oblivion it has bugged out with that message box.

It seems that Lovers forgets that the actors are ready if you call the ready check too early?

Then lovers with pk has its own call to that function before the sex act starts, so why do the mods have to call it as well?

Be aware that only one animation at a time can play.  If another mod's script fires off an animation, then it will override Lovers and you will get that error.

Take a hard look at any mod that contains NPC or Player animations.  These mods for example:

FOMO Moments - A Pose Mod.esp
Proper Male and Female Sitting.esp
Kaizits New Animations NPC.esp

 

Unfortunately this is often caused by scripts and there isn't a good way to figure out what all is interfering with Lovers.  Look for any mod that contains animations and one by one deactivate them (also deactivate your bashed patch so you don't have to rebuild it constantly) and then start a new game to see if you found the culprit.  You can also do this in groups of 5 or so to make things faster.  Also, make sure you didn't have ANY lovers esm or esp mods enabled when you built your bashed patch.  Doing so can break all your lovers mods.

Then click  [Fix Bugs]  and then  [Repair all]

All you need to start sex is

                set xLoversQuest.Offence to xxxxxRef

It works in dialog scripts without problems.

 

If you want to do it better you can use

                if Call xLoversCmnIsReady xxxxRef
                if Call xLoversCmnIsReady yyyyyyRef

                set xLoversQuest.SPos to 1

Loversrapers can do the call earlier but adultplay cant.

I'm not sure how I can say this more clearly, Lovers is a framework.  That is it.  It doesn't do anything.

Mods use the framework to do things.  So how is it that the framework is faulty?  This is beyond silly.

 

LoversRapers is a completely different mod type than Adultplay.  Comparing them in this fashion is absurd.
