This is the old version of all my tats prior to my discovery of mipmaps.  So these are the file versions without mipmaps.  I HIGHLY recommend you use my other version found in this link (https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/9544-aki-collection/) which has mipmaps.

 

What are mipmaps? According to wikipedia:

In computer graphics, mipmaps (also MIP maps) or pyramids are pre-calculated, optimized sequences of images, each of which is a progressively lower resolution representation of the same image. The height and width of each image, or level, in the mipmap is a power of two smaller than the previous level.

 

So what does that mean?  Well if I a creator doesn't make their textures with mipmaps the game has to generate them using RAM while you're playing.  This can cause:

at best-weird issues where you can't see the tat from some angles or distances

at worst-CTD.

 

So in general it is a good idea to use mipmaps.

 

So now you must be asking why I'm uploading an old version without them?

 

Someone commenting on another thread was talking about the crazy file size for some slave tats.  I noticed that, on average, my slavetats file sized increased by about 1/3 the original size when I added mipmaps.  This is likely because each .dds file/image contains multiple lower resolution versions of itself (that's ultimately what mipmaps are).  So for people who would prefer to risk CTD for lower file sizes, you can access the old tats.

I WILL NOT BE TAKING REQUESTS FOR NEW TATS WITHOUT MIPMAPS!

 

I understand some people don't have the memory (and tbh I don't fully understand how computer memory works. For all I know this is a pointless endeavor but I digress), as much as I empathize, I consider not using mipmaps to be poor form at this point.  Every texture should have them to my knowledge.  I would rather someone tell me a way to reduce file size somehow by compressing better, but that is also something I don't understand so I'm at the mercy of my own limited knowledge and people's willingness to help.

 

I kept the legacy files as a backup when I was still learning what mipmaps were, but now that I understand the concept better I intend to delete them from my hard drive.  But I figured I might as well upload them now and give someone who wants these a chance to download them.  And someday I may take this down and they'll be gone forever.  So if this matters to you, download ASAP.

 

But again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MY OTHER PAGE!  Since updating just my own tats I noticed a change in how often I had CTD.  I think they're worth the memory.

 

 

All tats designed on CBBE body but most tats will work on other body types unless they're full body tats.  They may look a bit warped.  There is one tat in the legacy Zelda set that does not work (The fierce Deity Face tat).  Somehow the file turned to just solid white color.  Not sure why or how that happened.  The tat is deleted in the up to date packs.

So I had noticed at a certain point that certain tats did not work properly anymore.  This may be do to them the conversion.  They show up on my game like a spectral color specs on the body texture.   If this is the case do you know a source or method for a person to take the older type and make one that works in the new system.  I had used cane marks on my characters which had a better texture than Sanguine's Debauchery and lots of other mods.  There are several of these instances. 

 

Thank you for the great mod,"slave tats" and what you have done.  Your mod is a fantastic addition to this game that has allowed such creativity from mods and peoples desires for play variety.

You want to make mipmaps?  It's actually super easy.  Unpack the tat/texture file you want to work with.  Open the file in GIMP (If it asks to load mipmaps you can say yes or no.)  Then go to file, export as, make sure it is the same file extension (usually a .dds in the case of skyrim textures) and as it's saving it should ask you if you want to generate mipmaps.  Use the drop down menu to generate them and then save over the old file (with the exact same name).  You do that for each tat and then archive the file into a zip/rar etc. and install.

 

If you change the file name during the saving process you need to change the .json file to match the new name.

But to put it very simply (which often helps me understand things) you just open each tat file and resave it but choose to generate mipmaps when prompted.

Great Collection. But too many files to download. could you make some bigger packs ?

Looking through the pictures i still miss some. real whores and pornstars have usually. that is barbed wire around upper arms, a death messsage in the back ( sheogorath loves them), some typicval roses, to be placed everywhere, and of course cum spreading penis. you like to do some of them?

Not sure if you read the description.  This is a legacy pack of old tats.  I'm not updating this set.  My more up to date stuff is on here https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/9544-aki-collection/ .

 

Some packs are big and some are small.  It depends on what the intention was.  The prison/voodoo set is big.  The bonus set is not.  For more details on each pack go to the main page and look at the change log.  It will give you a rough idea of what is in each pack as well as pictures.  All these packs are up there but with mipmaps added in, as well as other newer packs.

 

I don't have any like the ones you are requesting, but that's because plenty of other people have done that kind.  I recommend checking around other people's work for stuff like that.  But if I have time I might consider making a pack like that in the future.  But again, it will be on the main page linked above not the legacy page.

 

This page is only for people who want the old version of my tats prior to when I updated them to have mipmaps.  Mipmaps are very important for a stable game, but some people want slave tat packs that take up less hard drive space.  Otherwise I do not recommend the Legacy versions.  Mipmaps make the game more stable.

Just wanted to let you know that I like the idea of porn star type tats, and I might make a small pack of them.  I have some of the barbed wire stuff and a few roses I can work with.  But it isn't enough for me to get started yet.  If you have any specific designs you can get a hold of and would like to send to me, please feel free to do so.  If I get enough I will make such a pack.

 

And I may have a Sheogorath style death message carved into the back as well.  Not sure how good it will look, but the design is there at least.
