Type the name in the search bar in build mode......it will show up.

It's called the VIVUX 3000...It's in Misc Electronics......type that into the build mode search bar

It's called VIVUX 3000...not VIVUS

To find the camera you need to activate the cheat "bb.showhiddenobjects"

 

press Ctrl + Shift + C and will show a white bar in the left corner, then write "bb.showhiddenobjects" and click enter

I'm not sure if you can actually do that, and there's really no need for it either. The usual steps would be: record video, transfer to video station (directly, not via your Sim's inventory) edit at the video station (entirely optional), and finally upload. Just make sure that your camera and video station are not too far apart from each other.

It comes with the AEP mod and should be available in Build mode, if you have the mod and all required DLC packs installed. If you can't find it through the search bar on the left in Build mode, try using the filters on the right to bring up all custom content and search manually.

My question along these lines, having already purchased it in game, is how to get it to record a video.  I've activated it via "record sex video" before sex, and nothing was recorded.  Similarly, I've done so after asking for sex but before the act began, and no video was recorded. 

 

Is there some sort of artificial game rule getting in the way, e.g. you have to officially be a porn star, before the camera will work?

No, as long as the camera is in the same room (as defined by the game) as the sims having sex it will record it. Just remember to click it again afterwards and "End recording". You should be getting a pop-up at that point where you can name the video and give it a description as confirmation that it worked.

How can I upload it to the media station? Every time I click on the upload button, it never transfers over

Teenagers cannot make sex videos, just vlogs and fashion on this item. Sex videos are adult only... at least in the sims.

Sorry to resurrect an old post but I'm having some trouble with the Vivux camera. I can start recording the sex vid just fine, even get the orange pop up that it is recording, but there's no option to stop recording the video. It only lets me start a recording, and my sim is perpetually stuck with the "camera is on" +5 flirty moodlet. Even if I move the camera to a sim inventory or delete it entirely that moodlet stays on. Anyone have any ideas how to get the stop recording option to show?

How strange! It works for me ?:

 

 

Maybe it bugged bc it doesn't show the thumb correctly but I can:

 

 

Hire the camera operator

 

 

I can give orders to the camera operator:

 

 

 

Then since I hired a camera operator I can use the bigger camera for a better quality instead of shitty old Vivux 3000:

 

 

 

Then after some nice face fuck:

 

 

I click on the Camera, not on the Cameraman Sim (maybe this is why is not working for you? ?

 

 

 

Then I can name the video:

 

 

And the video will go to the inventory:

 

 

And you can then transfer to the video station:

 

 

You have to transfer from the inventory, this step is important:

 

 

Then you have to enter the inventory on the views station not on your inventory:

 

 

 

Then from there you will click it:

 

 

then you can edit, upload etc...

 

 

I prefer to play offline to not update, maybe this has something to do with it? Or maybe I have an older version that is conflicting with the new version (there is this guy who said it is possible to edit load order, idk) and luckily this is the result... Idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
