The Song Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 My current run of the game is now trapped in the ambush cave for the Companion quest-line (I'm not literally trapped but I want to continue with the werewolf path, so) When Farkas shifts into wolf form, the game crashes. Searching for a solution I found this old thread saying it was the fault of Schlongs of Skyrim.https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7635393-skyrim-se-werewolf-transformation-cashes-game/ Unfortuneatly, the solution offered in that thread doesn't work. Installing the SE version of that mod made no difference. Unless somebody knows of a SoS-wearwolf fix I couldn't find, or that old thread is wrong and SoS isn't the problem, I guess I need to uninstall SoS. But then I'd have animations playing with men (which includes my character) being dickless, so that's not exactly ideal. Does anyone know of an alternative to using SoS, or a fix to my problem that allows me to keep SoS?

The Song Posted February 3, 2020 Author Posted February 3, 2020 I solved it with a middle ground that should not have taken me so long to think of. You might remember (I didn't) that SoS has a light version. Light version doesn't mess with wearwolves, and I wasn't messing with all the specifics offered by full version. Using light instead of full stops the crashing.
Just Don't Posted February 3, 2020 Posted February 3, 2020 It's totally something on your end, I use SOS full and werewolves work just fine (player and NPC). In my case I don't use other werewolf replacers (textures/meshes/skeletons) nor any creature stuff. Maybe you have another mod providing an incompatible skeleton.
greenmango12 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Do you force XPMSE overwrite werewolf beast skelton? If you set disable about werewolf in CF, it will use default SOS mesh but skelton still use those creature mod offered one. (they may overwrite XPMSE or SOS werewolf skelton) I recommend, pick XPMSE offred werewolf skelton.nif and force it overwrite other mod offered one. ( only about warewolf ) and run FNIS for users , then test again. (with keep turning off werewolf in CF) At least for me,, I have used SOS full, with MNC, then did not see problem about the Quest. only saw once, werewolf related CTD, but they have been up-dated and I installed ASOS or Horney Creatuers,, so do not clear remember, how I set werewolf when I finish the quest.
