I know that it is possible because there are other mods that do it. Someone even once tied an animation to an equip. But I don't know how either thing is accomplished, I just know it has been done before. My guess is that the actual "equip" is completely transparent, but uses the same oily texture as the outfits. 1

The one that did the animation was Devious Lore (https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/7299-devious-lore/) it has an object called a "pony charm" that makes the character walk like they're wearing the devious pony boots without having to equip them. I imagine something similar might work for a texture?

Aki K Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 Just wanted to let you and anyone else know, that I found a sort of boot leg way to apply the oily body without actually "equipping" anything. Using the pasties armor you released, the bandage version allows the option to zap all parts of the armor (The others only allow you to zap the panties). So when I equip it, I get the oily body but technically nothing visible is equipped. If you did that with a ring it should work just the same.

Or do you want to be able to remove it at will?

Wouldn't it be a texture thing anyway? Either way, if you can share directions on how to do this I would appreciate it. I might make some experiments.
