So, about RE2 nude mods

I feel like we need a topic to discuss this matter, since the last thread was closed by CPU.

In response to what was said, I totally understand that you don't want the sharing of paid mods to happen on this site. It's perfectly logical and anyone who doesn't agree is braindead.

No, my issue is that you allow people to promote and advertize paid mods here to begin with, and that's the source of the problem. If people were getting warnings/bans for posting pics of paid mods / links to them, it would instantly solve all problems, not only here but in the modding community at large. Because if modders can't advertize their stuff on important sites like this one, very few people would know they exist and thus they wouldn't sell at all. And if they didn't sell them, then those modders would realize that they should simply stop trying to sell them, effectively turning back mods into the free sharing they've always been.

Please don't help greedy people ruin modding for everyone, Loverslab (and DON'T BUY MODS, people!).

1. People are allowed to advertise their stuff if they wanna, there's nothing wrong with that, and it's not grounds for banishment unless it's illegal or against the rules. That's silly. If people want to buy those mods or support a Patreon they're free to, I'll never understand paying for a mod but it's their money.

2. Mod piracy is what's not allowed, some people work pretty hard to make these paid-for mods, some don't, again it's down to the discretion of the individual to buy and download these things and the mods aren't gonna step in and control what you do or don't do in that regard.

3. Actively stunting the growth of someone's hobby, whether paid or not, is just silly. If you don't wanna pay for a mod you can probably Google it and find it anyway, you don't have to pay but banning someone because they're proud of their work or wanna make a quick buck is dumb, unless it's against the rules people do what they like.

People are entitled to the fruits of their labor.  Even if the mods are designed with and for a particular game, they still own the rights to the work they contributed.  If they wish to charge for that, not only is it that not illegal (in most cases), it's also incredibly rude that you're essentially demanding that they give it to you.  It's tantamount to slavery - "you must work for free so that I can enjoy something you did".

Stop whining.  Pay up or move on.

EDIT: I'll further contribute to my argument above with the following quote from Ryan Morrison, who also goes by VideoGameAttorney on Reddit:

"Finally, if I draw a picture of Mickey Mouse, that’s infringement. Disney can come after me and make me take it down or stop using it in whatever I am. But Disney cannot claim ownership over my drawing of Mickey. That’s still mine, even if I can’t use it."

In other words, mods belong to the person who creates them.  If Bethesda chooses to demand that they stop selling and/or distributing, that's Bethesda's business, and they have to take it up in court.  You have no right to demand that they provide their own content (property) for free.

Nobody received a warning or was banned because of posted pics or videos.

Most of the time we just remove the mod if we can verify that it was illegal. (Often reported by the original author and verified by us.)

Warning were sent (quite often) when was involved child nudity or sex.

And, in the last two days because it is not allowed to argue with the site staff and contesting the rules of the site.

In what law journal or text did you read that horseshit?  We don't own shit.  We modders are but infringers of someone else's intellectual property.  Imagine a modder making a really great mod for Skyrim SE.  Imagine they sell it and make 10 million dollars--and the whole business has all gone viral.  How long do you think it will be before Bethesda attorneys come calling with cease, desist, and demand of all of that 10M????  Why can they do that?  How can they?  Because we modders are but infringers of someone else's intellectual property.

I think those who make mods for money are just lecherous thieves who deserve to have their mods confiscated and posted for free.  Take this site I heard about last December called SchakenMods.  This place does have free stuff.  But most of their better mods are all behind a paywall.  Another is the growing shits who market Patreon accounts like that weirdo, Dr SlumpyX.  I know these people are hard over to make a buck.  But can't you wash cars or something instead?? You fucks are setting a bad precedent for the rest of us modders who enjoy the spirit of sharing.  We are happy to exchange work with our brothers and sisters, so they may be inspired to create their own great work. Such symbiosis ends up bettering everyone's game!

You can think I am brain-dead if you want.  But at least I can sleep at night knowing I didn't rip someone off taking money for something that was never mine to sell.

Dude I just copied the Mona Lisa and added a ball gag, are you telling me I don't own the rights of the ball-gagged Mona Lisa? I used Paint (aka art software) so you are wrong.

About paid mods especially the Capcom ones, you can report them to Capcom Support, I guess

https://capcomusasupport.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals

I didn't report them as I don't feel like getting involved in this. But anyone else can report them, if anyone feels strongly against them. Talking is easy. Just do it already. Let them know. Tell them it is not about nudity. Tell them it is "money concerned". Tell them someone out there making money using their IP. Let their legal team decide whether they want to do anything. Give them the links and give them as many details as possible (If there is not enough details sometimes the support team might think your report is some kind of joke).

The problem is these paid mods still exist for so long probably because NO ONE reports them. Everyone just busy whining about them, I guess.

If their legal team won't do anything, what can I say?

A bit more to say.

Some paid modders use donation as disguise to sell their paid mods. For example Ninirim paid mods hide behind patreon paywalls. When you report you need to let the support team know paid modders use this kind of tricks to get paid. Free mods are supposed to be freely available, with an option to donate. These paid modders need you to pay/donate first, before you can access the mods. The "mandatory payment" make it selling mods for money in the name of donation. That 's why you need to give as many details as possible, or the support team might think it is okay when you give them the link to patreon without knowing this kind of manipulation.

Remember the support team are working adults. They are not allowed to look at NSFW things at work. Thus you need to forewarn them if the paid mods are nude mods, and tell them it is about making money using their IP, not about nudity.

Bethesda support if you want to report any Bethesda games' paid mods. I never reported Ninirim or anyone. But you can report if you want to. Best to use the official email address ( I don't know the email address).

https://help.bethesda.net/

You can say paid modders are greedy. But don't forget mod users who want more and more mods (paid/free) are greedy bastards as well. It depends on your desire. Your desire knows no boundary. Whether you curb it or not up to you.

Edit:

Possibly email address of Bethesda/Zenimax :

https://www.zenimax.com/more

Best to ask the support team or whoever concerned that receives the email to forward the report to their legal team. Usually big corporations have their own in-house legal department, or maybe just outsource.

Well, there's no arguing with that logic. I must be wrong.  Now why don't you go ball-gag the copy they got hanging in the Louvre, and claim it as your's, too.

Talking about Bethesda, it is highly unlikely they would ever get hold of a modder for publishing game augments, either paid or free. This is likely because (1) no paywalled mod is ever going to make so much money it gets their attention, and 2, Bethesda needs us modders to keep selling their old shit. They have had since 2011 when they released an otherwise junk game only 70% finished called Skyrim.

We bought Skyrim, saw the shit wrong and; instead of demanding back our money, took the bait (their "free" Creation Kit) and not only replaced their sock feet and gross hair textures, we have facilitated them 8 years of sales which never would have been, had they acted like Team Ninja--demanding all mods be censored/banned for their game.
