Yes, Yes and No. The sex prompt didn't appeared, when I activated the raised dunmer it only opened her inventory, as if she was still a corpse. I tried multiple times. TAPQVanikseth 800 Sex with Vanikseth and got his soul.

TAPQVanikseth 900 Interacting with the dunmer woman only opens her inventory. Completing the stage doesn't let me speak with her either.

After completing stage 1000 with console commands everything worked fine again and I could find Vanikseth at the inn.

 

Maybe can you modify it to advance automatically or better yet use the MCM menu to debug the quest and trigger the scene? Or maybe ignore it, probably I'm the only one with the issue.

 

Can you clarify something for me? Are you saying the stage is already 900 when you attempt to interact with the Dunmer woman?

 

The interaction at that point of the quest requires the stage to be 800, so if the stage has somehow become 900 before that, it would be why nothing is happening with her. The "Have sex" prompt also requires the stage to be 800. You're not seeing a "sex scene failed to start" message or anything, are you?

I should have been more clear, sorry :C.

The quest stays at 800. So I had to enter setstage 900 (sex with the dunmer woman completed notification)  and then setstage 1000 to continue.

 

Plugin List (It's huge :S) I think it may be the Vokriinator  abomination, I don't think anything else modifies the minions (Nether Follower Framework management of minions is disabled in the MCM).

Anyway, I've had worse issues with other loverslab mods so It's not that terrible and I don't see anyone else reporting the problem.

Some ideas and suggestions/thoughts.

This one has the best animations that I know. The author already did a TDF Aggressive Prostitution addon Here that replaces some of the original TDF animations. When I had the mod installed I always disabled the ones that come with TDF, they don't fit at all in the game.  So hopefully he gives permission for and addon/patch and it can be implemented for like getting the customers on the mood.

I love that the player can't simply sleep with everyone and that there are some location and faction restrictions. No idea how you managed to detect if a npc is married but...  It could be possible to replace the MCM percentage chance to a speech check? ("Nobody has to know/ What she doesn't know can't hurt her") That way the PC can level up a bit her skills to get equipment more easily before venturing outside the safety of the city. And perhaps some are easier to convince like Nazeem, Kjeld, Torbjorn Shatter-Shield, Bolli and Hod(?). And some impossible to seduce like Jon Battle-born, Maramal, Rustleif, Captain Veleth and Endon. Even a more ambitious idea: passing a persuasion speech gives the player a chance to decrease disposition with the wife. So there's a drawback and the player can seriously hurt her reputation with merchants like Adrianne Avenicci, Hafjorg or Lami, resulting in worse prices and they hating the PC as they should.

Any chance for Kleppr to visit Sassa at the temple after the Sybil comes back from her mystical travel? By the way, that scene was impressive, it was really a high point. It would be great to have some of those Dibella's Garden cloned NPCs (but named nobles and pilgrims) to visit the temple after the news of the temple opening again begin to spread.

Maybe you are still thinking what to do if you save the Khajiit in Riften. I think the player should find him at the Windhelm docks trying to get passage to Solstheim with one of the ship captains, the player can "arrange a discount" with one of the boats before Benjen's thugs get him. The normal price is 500 gold which is insane and he obviously can't afford it. Solstheim is far enough to be outside of the Black-Briars reach. It's not in the Empire, they don't have any leverage with house Redoran. Also traditionally House Redoran was not much involved in farming so they didn't really participate in slavery and Solstheim has tired miners, horny sailors (the ones the PC slept with lol), lots of single guys and a guard under constant pressure. Looks like a good place for a runaway entrepreneur couple. After that he can be encountered at the Retching Netch, safe and fluffy, offering jobs for the player.

How every single innkeeper know the PC is working for Benjen? Your licence doesn't say anything about that and the word is somewhat slow to spread in a mostly rural province, specially something unimportant for the common folk. It's possible to restrict Benjen profit cut to "his" city and nowhere else? It already enough punishment getting a big chunk of your hard earned gold stolen and have to travel back to Riften to meet the quota.

When I start in Windhelm (Alternate Start) the quest to obtain the licence is the most dangerous and tedious one for me, as the Stormcloak camp is too far away and if I take carriage from Windhelm to Whiterun, I still have to pass an Encounter zone and hide from the many animals in the way. Perhaps could be an alternative to entertain the soldiers at the palace's barracks (taking this route leads to more partners to entertain and maybe... a death row prisoner last wish to fulfill, just an idea).

I love your mod so much I wish I could contribute in some form. I will try to turn some of my presets into a NPC beautification replacer, because some of the girl faces are somewhat unfortunate (Yes, I'm talking about the Raerek's girls, btw another super fun quest!).

I have done an actual play-through of the game with this mod running recently, though, and I really didn't find myself having trouble keeping up with the payments even when I was not entertaining that many clients, because money isn't that hard to come by once you really get started. I actually accumulated almost a hundred thousand gold even with paying Benjen every two weeks. Of course, if you have mods that make the economy more brutal or something like that it will probably be harder.

 

You can also increase the gold per client. It really only takes about 8 clients in a 2-week period to make enough money to pay Benjen if you put the slider to 150, and Dibella's Garden just takes a cut. And that's all assuming you don't take any special jobs, which can pay as much as 1000 gold in one go.

Oh I completely forgot I had a bunch of mods that affected prices, making everything more expensive (inns are 190 gold a pop for example) everything makes more sense now. Also it's pretty cool that there is an actual questline that affects the character's prostitution experience, gonna have to try and get it started.

And perhaps some are more easy to convince like Nazeem, Kjeld, Torbjorn Shatter-Shield, Bolli and Hod. And some impossible to seduce like Jon Battle-born, Maramal, Rustleif, Captain Veleth and Endon. Even more ambitious, passing a persuasion speech gives you a chance to decrease disposition with the wife.

 

I won't rule it out. I do already have plans to make some NPCs who vocally complain about their spouses or who just seem like that kind of person exempt from the rules that apply to other married couples. A speech check might work.

It would make some sense for their influence not to extend beyond Skyrim's borders, but it also doesn't benefit the player too much to limit knowledge to the Rift, because knowledge that the player works for Benjen provides the smallest innkeeper cut.

Just to be clear, the Dibella's Garden quest line is not implemented yet, so as it stands you basically have to just stay out of the Rift if you don't want a quota. However, that is the long-term plan.

 

An economy mod will definitely do it. I'm open to suggestions on making that experience better, though as I've mentioned when similar topics have come up, I do want to be careful about unbalancing the mod. Prostitution isn't intended to make you wealthy, but it also isn't really intended to have you unable to afford food!

Yeah it's pretty fair that a character shouldn't be having thousands in excess as a prostitute. It'd be pretty hard to balance that without adding more mod customization via MCM to control debt, income, or whatever else affects the overall profit of the mod, but honestly I set it at 150 septims and even with my harsh economy mods I can see my character's wallet getting a bit fuller now that Riften is no-go, not gonna bother with Mr. Debt for a while.

 

Hopefully development on the mod goes smoothly, fleshing out the events and the questlines would make this a must-have.

Completely understand your vision and opinion about this. These mods do conflict but so do things in life too. I am perfectly happy how both mods work separately. Co-existent cross working could be then accomplished simply by that the brothels / pimps would keep eye on their investment and drag if you had sex outside their deal?

You do not have to add the animations to your mod. You could simply depend on gunslicer GPoses and Slal. That pack has more than enough awesome animations you can use. Gunslicer is really talented person I am amazed of his work to be honest.

Or if you owned a home in that city perhaps you could invite client to your home? You could approach this like that selling yourself on the street would actually require special relationship with innkeeper or require you to own residence in the city you want to sell yourself in?

I tested SL Hormones yesterday and it has quite interesting mechanics for the succubus. Its buggy and so on but few notes I like to point out. I find it really interesting that SL Hormones actually make drain skill on succubus orgasm. This actually makes succubus gameplay somehow immersive as you want to orgasm and drain. This implementation is not completed. I like the idea that say you could orgasms like 3-5 times and last time would actually be the last drop. => drained victim dead. So if you were too selfish and not careful you would get in trouble.

Thanks for the link. Just to clarify a little bit, I'm not saying that I need to include the animations with my mod if there's something that lets me call it to make one happen. I just haven't yet found something that is free to use or callable and also has animations that I think fit with the lore-friendly mood I'm going for.

There's a possibility I'll add a risk of assault or other bad things (robbery, for example) for freelance solicitation or solicitation outside of towns or something. I'm just not willing to add it in places where there would be witnesses or definite consequences. I'm not opposed to the entire idea, but I am opposed to it in places where only a complete idiot would even think they could get away with it. At the same time, it's not a main feature, so adding a risk of bad things is something that might happen, not something I'm definitely going to do.

As a general principle, I agree. I'm already using message boxes for some things. That is to say I've already considered for each message whether I thought it should be a message box or a notification in the upper-left corner. There's precedent in lore for "partial" soul trapping - it's the alternative that Serana offers if you don't want to become a vampire to enter the Soul Cairn. I'm generally OK with how the succubus mechanics work that I have now, though, so I doubt I'm going to make any big overhauls a priority any time soon. Of course, if someone wants to do a "Better Vampires" on my succubus mechanic, there's nothing stopping them, really.

Gunslicers pack has plenty of not lore-friendly ones thats for sure yes. But the package is so big that I am pretty sure you can find something there. Since Gunslicer is still on that animation pack you might ask him if he is interested to do role friendly dance.

This is bit more difficult topic as I see it since. Like beggars, smugglers etc.. Also those that sell their body for money never have been amongst the most respected. Thats why pimp and brothels have succeeded that those people have security on this job. Many people oppose such people because political, social or religious views. So for my eyes actually if I would sell my body I would not be sure if people would actually report any assaults on my behalf. Especially if the assaulter was higher politically or military ranking person.

Of course you can't assume every people are like that but just saying.

It depends on the message but as I said before if the purpose is fitting aka the text contains roleplay story elements etc. You need the time to read it through. But yes, sad there is not easier/better way to do it really. Of course you could do some other tricks like stick note on the inn door or lets say sign "<dragonborn works> here" and perhaps upgrade it on the base of relations with the inn.

Don't complete understand what you mean by this but will see to it as I am close to enter the soul cairn. I am not fund of mixing vamp and succubus gameplay though. Dont find it fun.

Better Vampires overhauls the way that vampirism works in the vanilla game. I'm just saying there's nothing stopping someone from making an overhaul that works on top of my mod if they like all the stuff surrounding the succubus mechanics but just want the actual mechanics to work a little differently. I wasn't suggesting mixing the two, although I did allow you to be both a succubus and a vampire if you want.

I must say this is one of my favorite mods I discovered on this platform yet. I was having a lot of fun until I hit an unfortunate bug that is preventing my progress:

After completing the vanikseth quest to the point where she asks you to leave the workroom, I immediately fail the quest when I actually leave it. Looking into the quest log says that it failed due to killing Vanika. The same happens should I teleport out of the cell and wait for the quest to update or save and reload.

While it probably is caused by some incompatibility I was unable to figure out the exact mod causing it. Nether's follower frameworks minion management is disabled and I can't think of anything else that might be related.

I was unable to find a console solution as setting the quest stage to 1200 does only give me the gold, not the spell I would also like to acquire. Furthermore I am unsure whether this would lock me out of further quests.

 

As such I would like to ask you whether you know a set of console commands (or an alternative solution) that would let me complete the quest correctly and learn the soul absorption spell without locking me out of future quests or the succubus mechanic which I would like to try out.

I'm glad you like the mod, and I'm sorry you're having a problem. You are not the first person to report this bug, though I have not yet been able to reproduce it myself.

A load order might also be helpful in case it is a mod conflict.

Yeah I was glad to have another quest with her in 0.10 too, but she's really suborn about her nakedness, I have 44 in speech, + a potion of speech +12, and she still refuses to try to go and see her dad, just in case he wouldn't send her away. It seemed the most reasonable choice at this point, it's a last chance to see him, after that it's too late. But nothing to do about that, I finally had to choose one of the other options, which was probably what she wanted me to say from the beginning, that is, he doesn't respect you, so forget him (not exactly these words, but what that meant). Oh well, at least the quest is over, but that was a little frustrating, finally we had no real role in this...

I might tone down the difficulty a bit in the future, but she is extremely committed to her beliefs. The speech check is very hard (skill 100 without other perks). There are other ways to finish the quest without speech though...

It's a possibility. I have some plans to expand any of the marriage options I add a little (for example, if you promise your spouse to stop working as a prostitute and then keep doing it anyway).

Quest completion details:

I am in Winterhold when I get the letter. Walk over to Anikseth's workshop and the first time around exhaust all his dialogue except for the "did it all lead up to this" and "why do you want to switch your body" topics. Wait for him to give me the scroll, cast the scroll on the body, wait for the soul absorption spell to be cast on me, have sex with vanikseth, have sex with the raised female dunmer, talk to vanikseth, exhaust all the dialogue, finally click the "about that money" option which updates the quest telling me to wait a day. I leave the workshop and vanika dies. Now I am very confused go back inside and see that she is indeed dead. Reload to right after entering the workshop, only take the nessecary dialogue options, use coc WinterholdTheFrozenHearth to leave the cell instead (vanika not dead yet), wait 24h in the frozen hearth. The quest first updates to "get your payment" and then fails due to her dying.

I then tried various Quest stage setting via console commands with unsatisfyig results before finally posting here to ask for help.

Further comment after successfully using the setEssential solution:
Since simply setting the NPC as essential appears to fix the issue you might want to consider just having the quest set her essential once the player reaches stage 1000 (I think that was the wait 24h one).
