TheDragonBorn Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 are there any good mods out there that actually calculate how attractive your PC is to affect arousal? i know about SL attraction but that mod is very old, outdated, buggy, and completely unsupported now. i am hoping to replace it with a good mod that makes your pc's attractiveness actually matter, i spent days working on my male PC's appearance and it would be awesome to see the effort recognized if possible.

I'm working on a mod that has this function, but the basic issue is this: what do you think attractive is? How would you articulate that in a video game? What way would an NPC have to know how attractive your PC is? If they check weight and find 100, does that mean ridiculous boobs? Fat? Musclebound? Depends on your body mesh and skeleton, which the NPCs have no way to detect. Basically, any opinion on this has to be given to the game for it to act upon, and then you would need interactions that triggered on those variables. It isn't easy to generate. That's why there are so few mods that attempt it.

Have you looked at approach? I've looked at all of them, but none quite fit what I wanted. And, yes, I am prone to overthinking. Details of the mod I'm working on below -- it may never be released, so don't open the spoiler if you don't like being teased with no payoff. Spoiler The mod I'm writing flat-out asks you to describe your PC in relation to the rest of the world. So saying "big boobs" when every single female character has a D-cup or larger just means "big" according to the game's average. With that defined, interactions with NPCs then generate the NPC's preferences and resulting dialogue will hint at their level of attraction (or lack of it). These are all components to a "guest" system where you define a home, set a few markers for interaction and then invite people in the same hold to visit. Depending on how much they like you, previous sexual interactions, other factors in their life and their arousal level, they may or may not drop by. When they do, they knock on the door, and you can choose to answer it or not. Once inside, many dialogues open up for serving food, drinking together, speaking for hours, etc. Relationships build or maybe fall apart. You can define an NPC as a relative (then the specific relation, brother, father, son, uncle, etc), or a friend (define how close) or a love interest, from casual to fiance/fiancee. A background process determines how mutual that connection is (whether they like you back, or may be wildly in love while your PC is only mildly interested in them, etc). Seducing a married man who is normally faithful to his wife might require Dibella's blessing, a very high Beauty score and other traits perfectly in line with the individual's preferences. With a high speech score (or if the PC is an Imperial) it gets easier to convince people, etc. It is part of a complex relationship system. I originally wrote it to work side-by-side with Relationship Dialogue System v1.1, but the way v2.0 changed things and the issues I continue to have with different mods' personality generation made me move away from trying to make them all play well together. I don't know that I will ever release it, mainly because I'm not sure what would constitute a "finished" mod, and because many of its parts are still integrated with RDS v1.1. I tend to play, see what interactions happen, and if there is a response or interaction that I would like to see but doesn't exist, then I create it and let that scene play out. I'm posting these ideas here because there isn't anything revolutionary about it and someone else may be interested in doing something similar. I initially just wanted something that melded Sexlab Romance and RDS into a unified thing and gave a few more options on Spouses Enhanced. It grew from there.
TheDragonBorn Posted January 17, 2020 Author Posted January 17, 2020 i actually dont use it with approach. the mod had an update that makes it work with arousal and i got it for that alone. i recently had to reformat my laptop which means i needed to reinstall skyrim and now attraction simply wont work for me. literally every npc finds my pc unattractive. i had that issue with the mod years ago but thx to the advice and a patch released on the forum i solved it, those same methods arent working this time though and it hasn't been updated since 2014.

From my perspective its random, they(females) all have their unique attractions but from my end, all them viewed as a whole, it seems pretty random. I like random,

There's nothing "random" about it. Dissimilar tastes doesn't mean random. Different people might find different traits more attractive than others, but nobody is passing up a beautiful, intelligent and rich mate to go with the ugly, unshaven homeless person. Some people are more interested in power than looks. Some like an accent over intelligence, or honesty over charm. There are preferences, sure, but beauty is largely quantifiable.

I think I get your point better, condition checks would probably have to be in play to some extent. Busted unshaven male pc shouldn't have Fine Clothes wearing women approaching him, I get it. I'm just saying in game as male player,as long as you don't play as a bum, usually my male pc runs around in rags and looks like shit(JK) but if random chicks/npcs would try to interact with my character I wouldn't question in it game, From a modding standpoint random(with a few condition checks) would work just fine in regards to occasional female npcs showing pc some attention. Furthermore, yes, my pc goes to Whiterun, I would expect a few of females to give me the fuck me eyes, why the few particular females were giving me the eye... whether its random, or you have script fire onto every female and give them alternate defined parameters(sounds like random again.)IDk, seems like a lot of work as were similar results could be had by randomizing. Maybe I'm overthinking, once again, your mod dude. And since you don't like my idea I hope your mod.... I hope your mod does great dude. I lean toward clothes as one of your better option to define parameters, class could be helpful too. Tough mod Idea, hope for me and community, and for You, that you get to where you want to be with mod. Hope,Hope.

Furthermore, yes, my pc goes to Whiterun, I would expect a few of females to give me the fuck me eyes, why the few particular females were giving me the eye... Things that might make the difference: You are known to be The Dragonborn (I almost never play as Dragonborn) As the Dragonborn, you saved the world from Alduin (though how the fuck everyone knows that is in question... the only people in a position to know that were the Greybeards who don't usually talk to anyone, and Parthuunax... who only talks to five people, including you). As the Dragonborn you saved Solstheim from Miraak. This would probably only effect checks when on Solstheim, or maybe the Grey Quarter if you're slumming it. Possibly other Dark Elves. Speaking of Dark Elves, younger Dark Elven women are notoriously frisky, so bonus for that. Known to be a Thane Bonus if it is Thane of the current hold you are in. Still minor bonus for being a Thane at all, unless... Thane of a city in the opposing side of the civil war, potentially negative, though the cliquish elements might think that's extra cool. Bonus in the counterculture anyway. Side of the civil war would matter. Higher rank means more potential booty, though the titles you get as a Stormcloak don't scream out "attraction" so much as "intimidation". Still, some chicks really like the bad guys. Known for other guild title/affiliation. Might be positive or negative, except for the Bard's College, which would be a universal snatch magnet. Wearing an Amulet of Mara would grant a bonus when interacting with those in the Potential Marriage Faction, but would NOT allow for instantaneous marriage. That is just lazy and stupid. There would need to be some kind of relationship prior to any marriage, even if it wasn't sexual. (In fact, some would prefer the appearance of chastity prior to marriage while others wouldn't care at all.) As you mentioned, "ClothingRich" keyword would be a bonus, especially if the person being interacted with wanted a rise in station (identified by "ClothingPoor" or various servant factions. In those cases, marriage would require a much lower relationship rank to trigger the option.) Other clothing choices might have an effect as well (mainly for female PC, triggering on SLAX keys light "sexy/slutty/etc" -- of course some people will find that irritating and wouldn't want someone who was a slut on the streets. 20 hours ago, Heroine of the Night said: IDk, seems like a lot of work as were similar results could be had by randomizing. There is some randomization to what people like, though it is based on their available five AI Data stats (Morality, Aggression, Assistance, Confidence and Energy), as well as voice type (FemaleSultry voice type doesn't so much mind a guy that sleeps around. MaleBrute is a prude and doesn't care for the woman's slutty attire... at least in public. Some characters like PDA, some hate it -- social station and job play a big role in that -- so a flirty merchant may want their customers to think they are unattached, etc.) On having a discussion with a person, the dialogue includes a script that figures out a rough draft of who they are, and then speaking with them more fills out that data. Coming up with a system that does that wasn't too difficult -- that part is 90% done (only the marriage options remain to do, and check for things like: does the NPC have a child and if so does the PC own a home that is "adoption friendly", etc). Coming up with all of the dialogue options that go with the results is the time-consuming bit. Since it is a Sexlab mod, finding out what tastes an individual has, and whether the PC is okay with those, really likes them, or isn't a fan definitely plays a role. For instance, when the mod does its updating (during sleep), it will ask about previous sexual encounters to get an idea of what the PC liked/didn't like about them. This refines dialogue options both in and out of the sack. For instance a PC with a clear like of beast races will have a wider range of flirting dialogue with beast races than they do with Nords (especially if their couple of encounters with Nords/Men generated a "meh" result). This stuff is partly done, but I couldn't give a percentage. This is a place where I tied it into Sexlab Romance quite heavily, and I'm not sure how easy it would be to rip that out. Anyway... thanks for the discussion.

Without knowing any better, marriage candidates are so through faction and relationship rank, setting relationship rank lower on those toons and giving them dialogue to progress through which could allow you to scripts relationship rank increasing as you progress through new dialogues. Just tested this on my end in a play mod and it's my level easy,so very easy. Just an idea. 5 hours ago, Seijin8 said: Coming up with all of the dialogue options that go with the results is the time-consuming bit. This is tough, I prefer solution to problems, If you send some specifics I can suggest some dialogue. I made mod and felt this was maybe hardest part, so I think i feel where your at on it. 5 hours ago, Seijin8 said: (especially if their couple of encounters with Nords/Men generated a "meh" result). Nords rule bruh, hahaha, What are you High Elf lover? Who am I typing with? I could of highlighted entire post, very interesting works you have started. I think your mod if concluded and released,it would easily beat SL Romance and or Sexlab EagerNpcs. Those are great mods too. I want to get away from those mods for my next male character. EagerNPC's is the one I used most, good mod but like Romance it's a: played out on my end. B.not enough dialogue, makes it kinda stale. At anytime you want some testing or an influx of potential ideas pertaining to particulars on your end feel free to ask. You don't like my ideas, no hard feeling, MoveOn.Org is my motto. I enjoy in life that we like different things. If you are thinking public release, just a suggestion but put a flier out about what people liked and disliked about Romance and Eager Npcs. For me neither of them had enough dialogue and the dialogue on both are basically the same dialogue for all women, didn't like that. Eager Npcs threeway option is what kept me with Eager Npcs, Eager Npcs biggest downfall for me was not being able to get rid of dialogue for other male npcs, for community, option should be there either way you swing, definitely should've been an option to turn off.
jimmy1971 Posted February 4, 2020 Posted February 4, 2020 Could the attributes each npc find attractive be assigned to them so that some NPC's will find you attractive and some not. Maybe in a TXT file for easy editing if you want a certain NPC to be in love with you just enter all of your attributes as their favorite.
