Some questions.

I've been off of Skyrim for a while now only recently coming back to find out a lot of things have changed. My Nexus Mod manager has stopped working and I can't seem to pinpoint a source to help answer my questions legitimately. I am just curious about mod managers mostly - what is the one most players are using? I'm playing Oldrim if that may have any affect on my choice. Any guidance and advice would be greatly appreciated!

P.S I've also recently purchased a new computer and comparing my new device to my old, the ENB I once enjoyed now makes my game look so funny with my new specs, is there any way to fix this or do I need to find something else?

Thanks in advance.

You won't find universal agreement on this (or anything else, naturally), but Mod Organizer 2 would be my suggestion.

Vortex is also popular.

You should also follow the STEP guide (or something similar) for the entire installation, so you aren't leaving yourself with issues later on.  Note that the STEP guide is a bit out of date, but the general ideas and suggestions remain good.

I appreciate the responses, thanks guys. I've decided to go with MO2 but I realised upon start up it's asking me if I want to associate it with NXM? Does this matter?

Well you can associate it if you want, If you will associate him when you'll download a mod from nexus you'll can chose "Mod Manager Download" So the mod will automatically downloaded on mod organizer and you don't need to download it manually.

This is not a thing.

Well, one way or another is there a good side to side comparison of MO2 vs Vortex vs NMM?

I can find Vortex vs MO2 readily enough, just not the 3-way (hur hur hur). Always happy to hear personal experiences from here, since most LLers seem to have very heavy load orders anyway.

EDIT:

Well never mind NMM, since it really has been dumpstered. I thought I'd heard a while back that there was a fan fork from folks who didn't like Vortex and were going to just try and update NMM.

So mainly it's just coming down to Vortex vs MO2 and after reading a number of reviews it seems to boil down to "Reddit likes MO2 which is a bit more powerful and Nexus likes Vortex which is a bit more user-friendly".

As stated before, whatever system you decide is your business and it's not like I'm gonna ever play anything on your system, but most of the shade thrown at MO one much less 2, other than a specific type of process injection is people being idiots and as a modder and reremodder, there's some people that ain't gonna get it, and spending any time fucking with their fuckery is just going to suck the life out of you. (per usual, the you does not apply to you directly)

You do you.
