AAF animations does not start

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I am having an issue with AAF recently. My game works absoloutly fine with a male character. I have themes installed and one patch to bang them all and it works flawlessly. But when i open a female character with the same mod files the animations do not play. Also I can open AAF menu via HOME button. But i cant open the wizard by pressing ENTER. 2 dots around AAF logo goes up and down but it doesnt open the page that shows actors normally.

I have tried many solutions, deleted and downloaded AAF again, deleted many other mods that might be related. I do not know why this happens. Please help.

Edit: here is a picture with the debug mode on, maybe it will help.

I rearranged my load order several times trying to fix this and finally ended up dumping Leito, Crazy, Farelle and Vadermania along with associated patches and One Patch to get AAF working. I specifically tried with just Leito and patches but still couldnt get an AAF home key  screen. All the newer packs, Atomic Lust, Mutated Lust, BP70s, Creature Pack and Bad End, all work fine for me with no patches. Leitos is required for the Beggar Whore mod so some are getting it to work but I am sick of trying to stack patches

It tells you in the screenshot what at least some of the problems are...

yeah but those problems also exist in my male character and it does not prevent AAF from working properly.

I believe it might be related to the error 065 actor not found. But i am not sure how it can be fixed really.

does your AAF opens menu via HOME key but does not open wizard with ENTER? or home does not open anything at all?

That could be because only some animations try to look for the assets you haven't installed.

You should try to address these errors first. Then see if anything still doesn't work.

It depends on how things were arranged, sometimes nothing shows at all but it seems if you use page up or down the menu is actually open as you can switch positions but also sometimes the home key opened the first menu then hitting enter would bring up the AAF timer logo for a split second but nothing after that, I was convinced it was my load order and relation of patches but never could get any of Leitos animations to load.

Yup, already have it, at that time I was trying to get set up to use Beggar/ Whore and Tentacus lists Pollistros patch with Leito animations so that is what I was messing with then. Once my frustrations mellow I will mess with it again. So many patches....so little time.

A lot of problems with AAF/Patches come from people checking options in the FOMOD for animation packs and other mods for additional mods that they don't have installed.

I think that a way to address this would be for the animation pack and other mod authors to have optional additional downloads instead of options in the FOMOD. The problem is getting the word out on a change like that and having people agree/implement. There isn't a standard "best practices" for how to deliver mods.

I think

1) It will increase mod ammount in mod manager, since some people have 200 mods, they will now have 400-600 mods?

This will create other user problems when you for example delete mod partialy

2)Still not a complete solution for this problem since users can install this additions to mods and wait for them working without requirements

It wouldn't change the plugin number because these are largely just XML options. It is not difficult to install additional mod option downloads as a merge into the mods main folder.

In that case it would just go back to how things are now. So, nothing would be lost.

And if the options are merged, they stay with the mod from there.

There is no complete solution for people installing half of what they need. But, this would create an extra hoop for people to jump through before breaking their game. When the options are in the FOMOD they don't read and casually click things that sound cool.

What mods? Can you explain your problem detailed? What is your AAF modlist?

I have a fresh FO4 install and am running into a problem I've never had before.

At the start of the game in the Vault, AAF will show as installed and loaded during character creation. On the way through the vault I can open the menu normally using the POS1 key.

However, as soon as I left the Vault and set up my mods via MCM, AAF stopped working. No animations are displayed and there is no longer any menu via POS 1.

I followed the 254 rule. 253 modules and 118 lights are active.

Surely it's just a small thing that I'm overlooking here. I'm attaching the loading order. Do you have an idea?

I was able to check FASE using Flashy's Crime and Punishment tool, it's fine. I reinstalled FAS anyway as a precaution.
