Skyrim VR - Wabbajack Modlists?

So now that Wabbajack has been released a few months ago, we can now get full modded installs with only a few clicks. There really isn't any reason for people to be unmodded anymore. The reason I bring this up now is to see if anyone would be willing to make a Sexlab VR modlist. It would certainly cut down on possible issues people run into here if a curated properly installed version is readily available for download.

Here is an example of a VR modlist, it has over 450 mods and works great with little user input: 

The issue with that modlist however is that its very tighly wound. Many many compatibility patches, smashes and tweaks. Simply adding a single mod to it requires you to follow a 15 step process and even then it might not work. So adding Sexlab to that is quite an undertaking. I'm quite proficient at modding Skyrim myself, have been for many years, but VR is a new beast for me. I've never run Sexlab in VR and barely modded anything due to the many (now defunct) issues modding Skyrim in VR had.

 

I just personally think this could be a really cool idea if someone who actual knows what they're doing wants to try. Hell, even a non-VR modlist for a full Sexlab install would be of great help to people. Just build the ultimate NSFW modlist pack!

i have gotten it to work by typically downloading the UVRE, which is a chore of itself. once thats done, start intalling SL mods per the how to get SL going w/ MO2, i have been able to replicate it several times over because every time UVRE updates, i have to start over with reinstalling all the SL mods. Worst issues ive had are certain areas that have CTD on cell loads or when fast travelling into specific cells. I run SLEN SLACS Mias Lair, Hydra slavegirls, creature framework, slal, lots of idle/sitting anims etc. manipulator, PAHE, tons of followers, lots of clothing packs. I merge the followers and clothes, high heels etc. last i try to combine SL mods that edit different areas. Worst mistakes are merging masters and i end up getting infinute installs everytime i load back into the game, such as creature framework constantly reverting to pre creature animations enabled. after your merges, you disable all the plugins and leave the mods on the left pane enabled, then follow UVRE readme for customizing which involves fnis, nemesis, smash, post smash, sythesis, zebd, bodyslide, takes about 2 weeks to get it functioning but it is badass when it works.

Am I wrong to think the beauty mods being used in the wabbajack modlists for VR are pretty ugly? If I’m wrong, please advise which one I should be choosing.

i updated it again, and now i get CTD every initial load on the racemenu character creator, currently trying to figure out why. once i get it going again ill post it up for you guys. the past UVRE hasnt crashed like this. But maybe one of timbos changes are conflicting with SL.

ultimate vr essentials list is not ugly, pandorable, bijin intersting npcs etc all built in, dyndolod already set up too, so it looks very good if you have a machine that can run it

yes it is when you have so many things that can go wrong but oh well, keeps you from buying total war remakes for the 5th time, or buying another copy of fallout for the 4th.

Yeh slowly getting my head around it.

Vortex at least.

Not that I haven't had problems, but both Skyrim and FO4 are much more fun with the mods I have in place.

Skyrim is a damn site better looking too.

At first I just wanted it to be more realistic in relation to there being sexual elements, some beautiful people but then I updated the textures and WOW did it make a difference.

FO4 still looks pretty ugly though, need to do more research to fix that.

Got Sofia and an updated Serana in Skyrim presently.

Both sexy as in near naked armreors.

Have the IKbody thing, SOS with physics and collisions, sexy armors and clothing all round.

Updated Piper and installed T0R1 in FO4, both quite sexy now.

Also have the animation gun thing, sexier armors and clothing all round, as well as the prostitute thing which makes it more realistic.

 i cant fix it, i updated mias lair and found out pahe needed updated as well. but still broke, most of these mods were working fine before 2 uvre updates ago. ive rebuilt this list twice, still crashes upon loading the new game after about 10 seconds. here is my modlist, the SL mods worked great a few weeks ago. Broke currently still. ill post back if i fix it. ill probably have to update wabbajack and start from scratch. ?

A wabbajack for SL is a tough sell.  So many people have... particular tastes... that make it difficult to cater.  I think there is one for SSE called dungeons and deviousness but it would probably need a bit of work to adapt to VR. I also have an already outdated modlist (for reference only) here. Some of the VR specific fixes in there are not available for the public yet.  I might compile a patches list later.

i finally fixed it, the only thing wrong was Devious Devices, so my list above is functioning by rebuilding it without DD and anything that needed it like SD + and dibella sisterhood i think. old DD worked fine, the new 5.x 5.1 broke it. i removed it for time being.

Great modlist.  That SCARS Loading Screens looks great! :)  Any chance on doing and edit and hiding that list behind a spoiler to help others with scolling?

 

Question: I see you have estrus.  How is that working for you? I tried it and the first amin had some crazy skeleton breaks that made my poor girl look like an inverted spider or something.  It was nightmare fuel.

 

Another question:  Have you got consoleUtilVR to work? Mine causes a CTD.  Someone on the nexus page said it was caused by DD.

 

I see you have spell perk distributer... have you seen this? You LO is wound tight but this will distribute spells/perks from some of your mods like Apocalypse without needing an esp slot. Makes combat a bit wild!

 

Last comment: Have you considered adding Devious Lore?  It adds a good mechanic for escaping DD in VR.   I have the hotkey tied to a VIRK gesture and then you have a struggle minigame rather than UI messages.  It ties in well with better health warnings fading to black/white when stanima is depleted.

ya scars is awesome whoever made that stuff is badass. i almost enjoy going through doors cuz its like...i wonder what f'd up shit im gonna see next...yaaayyyyy.

 

estrus works fine i have that and charus below it it think, i play dude characters and cast it on females, not sure what it would do if i tried it on self. i also found estrus sound mods so im gonna try those out once i get the build merged again.

 

spell perks...i dont know, i just leave all the wabbajack stuff alone and load all the SL mods towards top of left pane. except vrik and MNC/ABC.

 

i completely purged Devious devices from my list until someone figures out how to get the new versions working again, i have tried dev followers before but never made it very far in playthough do to always rebuilding my modlist. ...its addicting i think.

 

i know about the hotkey/vrik bindings but have never figured them out. Id appreciate if you could tell summary of how to do it. I have never been able to raise controller, turn hand over , fell haptic, hit button etc...i just skip it all causee i couldnt solve how.

The DD issue might be with the ConsoleUtilVR causeing CTD as reported by others. 

 

For the VRIK bindings, you go to the MCM and configure each gesture (thumbpad press move right) that you want to utilize with SL.  Check out the SL MCM while in an animation.  The hotkeys are all abbreviated (end animation = U for UP).  Merely bind that gesture in VRIK MCM with mod action and leave it blank or another more useful thing like drink potion.  During a SL animation the original binding (drink potion) is then replaced with the SL hotkey.

I am not saying your wrong in wanting this, but as I mentioned in the other thread you started about this: I think is request is mostly untenable.

 

Here are some relevant examples that would clarify the difficulty of a SL wabbajack.  Would you be happy with a wabbajack modlist that:

 

- Kept you perpetually bound in heavy bondage that was inescapable and prevented all normal game play except for being constantly reloading your save upon being killed in a defenseless state

- Perhaps your male PC consumed a pheromone laced potion and was continually assaulted every 60 seconds for an hour by creatures and having to spend hours on your knees with giant VR penises in your face

- Maybe you will be permanently locked in a prison cell, hearing continual disparaging remarks, mining away trying to meet your quota, only to be interrupted by constant sexual attacks from other inmates

- Uh oh, you slept outside in Blackreach, now you have parasites hanging out of your nipples, your breasts/belly begin to irreversibly morph into whale-like proportions, all your stats drop to zero until you give birth to a gaggle of creepy crawlers, who intern repeat said breeding cycle, ad nausea

-etc.

 

These are all examples that could easily be one person's wet dream and another person's trauma inducing nightmare of an experience.  The best part about lover's lab is you can tailor the experience to your needs while avoiding what you don't want.  I highly recommend googling SkyrimVR wabbajack, find one that has room for more plugins, follow this guide or this guide for basic Sexlab integration, then adding mods from here that meet your personal kinks.

I got super high and I feel really bad about the initial tone I took in responding to your two posts.  Let me explain why I think I have that terse reaction to wabbajack for SLVR.

 

I made the comment about terrorizing unsuspecting people with a SexLab skyrimvr.  This is actually something I think about a lot.  If someone hasn't played VR long or doesn't get as high as I do, it might be hard to explain how crazy an experience VR can be.  For example:

 

The intro:

I am doing another run through bleaksfall barrow. I have once again, started a newly modded skyrim game.  ( I actually convinced myself this will be my permanent modlist and I will for the first time in probably over 2000 total hrs playing skyrim, complete the main quest line.) How deluded am I?

 

The setting:

I open the Nord ruin and I know everything that is going to happen in the stage.  From the intro puzzle, to the ceiling spider, to the hall of stories... nothing too new... got it. BUT. The actual experience of having the dauger grunts floating in the air, dust falling in front of me, to actually cutting the spider webs down by swinging my real in-life arms, to quickly using a bow to dispatch an enemy with a head shot.  Gotcha bastard! In my mind, it is all... so real.

 

The main points:

This brings me to my concern.  Some of the mods found here at LL are more like brand new games or games within themselves.  The first time I modded skyrim with LL, I went nuts. I added everything in: devious devices, slavery, parasites, you name it.  That first run through a LL modded bleaksfall barrow was an absolute gaming and experiential nightmare.  I was brutalized, mods conflicted, my stats over penalized, things broke, the game loop became so out of balance as to have me trapped at the bottom of the waterfall, stuck, deviously bound with no vision to see anything, movement set to slow hopping the farthest point from any town, I was bloated, moaning, and failing in a heap every few seconds... I was so far from having a good experience with the game that it was overbearing.

 

I am mostly concerned for how a lay user would react to that same experience, with the added element of being totally immersed in VR.  Personally, I think the overall user experience would benefit immensely by putting in the due diligence. Read mod pages, craft personalized playlists, and heavily familiarize yourself with the mod's MCM.  It seems that; if you don't have the time to read a mod page and mess with the MCM, you probably don't have the time to spend hours locked in a collection of desperate mod's content all awhile being confused and highly dissatisfied with said experience.

 

Most mods here go well out of their way to tailor content through forum requests or MCM toggles/modifications.  It is truly impressive.  Mind boggingly so.  The sheer hours put into making and updating mods.... There are often more menu options for customization for one mod, than for the whole of original skyrim. 

 

The conclusion:

I just think LL mods are best distributed as they are, piecemeal. 

 

Outro:

I fully support and am amazed by anyone who would take the time to maintain any WJ list.  I have considered it myself.  It seems like a daunting task and anxiety inducing.  Imagine if your LL MO contains some unseen conflict/bug that wrecks hundreds of people's characters.  Personally, I don't know if I could stomach that... knowing some of the things I have found in these mods.  ?  However, I will take the time to help you find information here on LL or teach what I can.

- Uh oh, you slept outside in Blackreach, now you have parasites hanging out of your nipples, your breasts/belly begin to irreversibly morph into whale-like proportions, all your stats drop to zero until you give birth to a gaggle of creepy crawlers, who intern repeat said breeding cycle, ad nausea

These are all examples that could easily be one person's wet dream and another person's trauma inducing nightmare of an experience.  The best part about lover's lab is you can tailor the experience to your needs while avoiding what you don't want.  I highly recommend googling SkyrimVR wabbajack, find one that has room for more plugins, follow this guide or this guide for basic Sexlab integration, then adding mods from here that meet your personal kinks.

yes you can get it to work, maybe jay is right in that you might not like all the ultimate vr essentials list built in, but in my view it is much easier to download a preconfigured MO2 that has most everything you need already templated out. after you mess with it a few months you get good at running the checklist/readme. it is complicated but how many stupid people are smart enough to turn an rpg into a dungeon porn forced banging simulator....not that many. plus if you know how to rebuild all the patches and get rid of any conflicting mods, and rebuild again, you could purge most of the uvre list if you wished. i try to keep most of it, just because when i decide to update from the wabbajack.exe it makes it much faster to download and overwrite everything, then i can go right back to adding all my favorite mods in.

 

 

on this run i did add jays spell distributor/level list distrib that allows npcs to use shouts/magic that we have access too, should be quite entertaining, ill let you know if it actually works.

Well you confirm my point then.  It seems as if I created a wabbajack based on my own perfectly curated and tweaked modlist, you would have wildly divergent expectations from what was presented and therefore be left dissatisfied.  That would be truly unfortunate given how highly engaged and happy I am with my personal load order.  That amount of daylight between our ideals is the crux of my issue with the one-size-fits-all approach.  I am in no way a prude and not to kink-shame or anything, but I could imagine any number of LL modlists that would be utterly repulsive to me.  Not everyone is into or open to everything available here.  Not to mention the massive time investment some mods require based on their own game play loops.

 

I would bet money that most people would be save scrubbing like crazy and fully  frustrated given some of the default mod settings.  The situation I described above at the bottom of bleakfalls barrow could easily be a 10 hour trip back to town.  With a cursed loot trap giving the PC high security wrist restrains and a hobble dress, the player would be unable to escape/fight/interact with anything until they paid a black smith to remove them.  The hobble dress would reduce movement speed to 30% and ragdoll/trip every 30 seconds from being barefoot.  The default for DCL is to lock the MCM when in devices and disable fast travel.  The 10 hour guess includes the time spending being sexually assaulted, guaranteed reloads from dying defenseless, and not having a direct path from the map being unavailable.  How many times can someone repeat that same loop?

 

It just seems like if you have the time to stumble around trying to understand the sometimes arbitrary constraints of mods with effects you might not be into, you probably also have the time to choose which mods you actually wanted.  I couldn't even imagine trying to field the support thread of a modlist that contained a plethora of LL mods.  Talk about a time sink.  Why are my stats zero, can I transform back into a human from being a dog, etc...

 

By all means though; I fully support you curating a modlist, play testing it, creating a wabbajack, and supporting it.  Having been asked before... I admit I know I couldn't do it.

Hey no problem.  I added it to my own new play through and am curious to see how hard it spikes the difficultly curve.  Nice that it doesn't require an extra plugin spot but contains so new possible effects. Stay on your toes.

 

Oh you might need my VR no spin patch for ZAZ.  Some mods use the pinMarker from zaz to keep the pc from moving.  This causes the VR camera to spin like mad.  Let me know in that thread if it works for you.

I saw your modlist and load order and its pretty amazing and huge. I was wondering if you could be sooooo kind and share your "userlist.yaml" file from your "AppData\Local\LOOT\Skyrim VR" folder, your "Table.dat" file from the "steamapps\common\Skyrim VR Mods\Bash Mod Data" folder and finally, and if possible, your "merges.json" file from your "tools\zEdit v0.6.5\profiles\Skyrim VR" folder???????

 

I really want to decode which merges you did and with which plugins

 

I will be indebted for life with you if you provide me with this three files.

 

I hope it is not too much to ask :)
