Making things look scary is one thing, but for the full effect things need to sound scary too!

 

for that you need some more sounds to bump in the night. 

 

If you play with headphones I recommend 3d Sound for headphones I use headphones and this really does a great job of making the world feel all around you. 

 

For more ambient sounds Sounds of Skyrim complete

 

and recently I have been using Witcher 3 Music changing the music can really amp up the anxiety and make Skyrim feel less familiar. 

 

Nothing is scarier than the unfamiliar! ?‍♀️

I would love to make a gameplay that look scary like horror game. When my charater free roam in forest or sth(not dungeon or quest mod). the night is really dark to see, have to use torch to see small thing around me. I prefer walk to other location than use house,fast traveling or carriage.

 

You might also be interested in these mods, though they change gameplay. (And 28 days will kill NPCs, so careful with that one. Make a separate save for it, maybe.)

Try installing Vivid Weathers or a weather mod also try ELFX

No, you have to install darkside version only. 

 

It installs 100 new enemies. Simple version installs 50 enemies  andaöö other versions 50 enemies and 50 follower.

So the most simple thing that is also the biggest thing to make skyrim scarier is..    turn off music.   The music tells you what is happening..   even in complete darkness..  if you get attacked, the music starts..    and you know, but without it..  you will hear sounds in the darkness instead,,  and you will have a sabertooth pounce on you without you knowing it's coming..

 

(..of course, if you can just turn off attack music and instead have skyrim play creepy music..  that would probably work as well)

 

..for difficulty, I have Advanced Adversary Encounters - Ultimate Edition(also immersive wench collection..   deadly, forgotten, hateful, etc) too.

 

and I forgot the mods by vicn..  ..idk how 'scary' they are tho
