Phallus Glean BETA 1.5.0 WORLD (Updated Nov 5th 2019)

If you want to give yourself a timeline with the dying C drive, I guess that's your call but there is plenty of free cloning software out there that will work on vista.

Not sure the issue with installing sims 3 on win10 - I had no issues installing off a dvd pack.

I can't imagine editing textures is faster on vista than your new rig though - getting to know new software is a pain but I know I can gimp way bigger files without slowdown now than I could have photoshopped back on XP or even my win 7 system (the latter is mainly due to better hardware, though 10 also manages memory better in my experience but uses more base). I imagine lacking a dedicated video card would hurt for a lot of stuff though.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with in the new world though.

My ? drive is about to go

You can: Remove the C:drive from the old system, and plug it into the new machine. You may need a new cable if your motherboard has room or an external drive case and use USB to do this - and copy most everything to the new drive. When finished, just plug it back into the old system.

I did this once to get as much information from an old drive that basically had failed - I could no longer boot an older system, but was able to salvage many files although the drive became VERY hot and took awhile to transfer what I could. I knew to just ignore the Windows file as it's protected somehow and without a normal install, wouldn't be worth the drive space it takes.

Now I archive most everything on a 3TB external drive just in case any of the internal drives on either of my systems goes belly-up.

Thanks for reminding me guys.   I was wanting to check into having the drive cloned but kept thinking of making new things for the new world - kept side tracking myself.   I'm going to make myself check into that before doing anything else on this machine today.  This is my OS drive.

Okay, checked my local shop -

$75-125 for time & the cost of a 1 TB drive... $65

It's going to take 2-3 days - I'm preparing myself for digital withdrawal...

Can't happen until next month though.

Free version of macrium reflect should do it: https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree

You'd just need to plug the 2nd drive in and let it clone (I did it once when I wanted to swap my boot drive to an ssd). I guess if it's in the shop it helps if it has enough errors that it would have difficulty cloning but I can almost guarantee that they'll use a very similar program. 1TB even on a 5200 RPM could clone and verify in a few hours. Maybe 16-24 hours at most if it was set for a super deep and careful clone.

But if it's spitting errors outside of chkdsk, maybe it's worth the shop doing it.

ust downloaded the Reflect - I'll give it a try soon

There is such an ancient program MHDD, or its newer version Victoria. They mark bad sectors on the disk as inaccessible. And if the disc does not continue to pour like an avalanche, then it can live happily ever after. I have 2 of these remanufactured disks that people threw in a landfill.
You can also find a screwdriver and unscrew the chip from the disk, and clean its contacts with a rubber band. It also helps sometimes.

But the chance of salvation is usually 50/50.)

I use a #2 Pencil eraser for contact cleaning.  Kind of a contact cleaner on a stick...  easily shaped to fit your needs and perfect for removing oxides and oils.

Can't afford a drive this month. Had an unexpected mandatory payout for my car (doesn't work but still needs registered for some reason).

I would feel sorry for you, except I've been trying to work and play on the travel laptop for more than a month... almost 2??? Gaming laptop = 2 to 5 minute load time (both screens) and no noticeable lag with 8GB of CC, base game and 5 or 6 EP's running.

This laptop = at least 20 mins to 1/2 hr loading... lags... freezes, and I pulled a bunch of stuff out, trying to get it to consider the possibility of not taking a 30 sec to 2 min break just because I clicked on a different sim!!!

No, actually I do feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi there! ?

I hope you could fiddle out your problems with your new machine!!!

I´ve read that if you could get it to run you proceed in building a new world.

If you need testers, I would happily volunteer.

Hope you had a safe and mostly healthy  summer!

Hey guys,
sorry for the stupid question, but: if I want to have the outfüts for the NPC in other worlds, what do I have to do, or in other words, which files have to be copied to achieve this (also manually)?
