SE or LE?

Hey!

I have Skyrim Legendary Edition and can't make mods get to work. Do I need SE edition mods or the regular one? Thanks!

Despite the names, LE and SE are different games. With rare exceptions SE mods don't work with LE and vice versa. So, all your mods (since you have LE) must be made for the Legendary Edition or have been converted (although most conversions are from LE to SE) from SE to work with LE.

you should be playing on SE since it is moar stable than LE according to the internet. But there are so many LL's mods especially on LE that is so hard to let go. Unless, you know how to port the mod itself without making CKSE do qqq...

It's not the black and white truth though. For many of us LE is more stable than our SE install, and with more/better mods for LE. Most modders still only make mods for LE and don't have any SE support whatsoever. It's up to players to make the conversions that sometimes miss features or introduce more bugs. At this point i wouldn't actually recommend SE for anyone.

Well said!

I would think that SE is great to make eye candies and that's it.

As soon as you start to make a complex LO (LLified) like in LE you will have the same technical issues or worse.

The impression that SE is more stable seems to come from bad LE setups and a priority set to a more visually appealing Skyrim while keeping FPS high.
