I think Jostars's SotTR nude mod is excellent & still the only game in town even after all this time. When it first appeared weren't we all up in arms? I never cared about the shoulders but I'd 've given my right nut to have had fixed that waist seam/ darkened lower half out of direct sunlight 'bug'. This is all past tense now, anyway, right? The modder took a lot of heat, but hope springs eternal. I'd give my left nut now for a 'hide weapons & equipment' mod. There...'at's about  $.02 worth.

Yeah, it always bothers me when the equipment is just floating at the character's side. I usually end up going for nude mods that still have straps or belts to hold gear, otherwise it just ruins the immersion and is very distracting. I know you could make the argument that being nude ruins the immersion, but I just like to imagine that the character is a nudist lol (although the fact that nobody ever comments on the nudity is still pretty immersion-breaking).

 

Would really love to see more good mods for this game. I've been replaying all of the TR reboot games (first played them on PS4, but now playing them on PC because mods), and this one is up next. Hopefully we start seeing more interest in modding for this game soon.

I would never make the immersion argument; I'm with you on this. To my mind, Lara has always been a naturist. Anyway, I could live with the equipment thing if only for the lower-half darkening when she's out of direct sunlight thing. Not to put too fine a point on it, that does more to take me out of the game than anything else. It's annoying. A shame 'cause it IS a pretty nice-looking mod. I'm glad & surprised to see though that this particular topic is still surviving on these pages. Cool.

My first attemp at modding: Lara - Wild Huntress for SotTR

My goal was to battle all the issues with original model using only textures:

• chest seam - masked most of it with cloth straps
• waist seam - hid it with leather belt
• leather belt  - also serve as a mounting point for equipment (floating equipment is no fun - breaking the immersion for me)
• legs/torso shading differences - hidden by waist cloth shadows
• torso not having specular map and always shiny - hidden somewhat by slightly boosting other bodyparts specular values
   

Body textures were made using 3d scan data; abbs, pussy and nipples were bake straignt from 3d scan:

Right now I'm slowly working on modding most of the other outfits in SotTR to Lewd versions. Progress so far:

I've tried to edit the dds texture from your mod but after I'd overwritten it it would show up all black in-game. Why is that?

I guess, it's because you're using wrong compression format while saving file.

I use Intel photoshop plugin with this settings:

BC1 4bpp (sRGB) - for base color
BC5 8bpp (Linear, 2 channel tangent) - for normal map
BC1 4bpp (Linear) - for specular map
