Coolspear over at NaughtySimsAsylum has TVs that constantly play one channel. As luck has it, one of them is the News channel. They are in his specialized mods section.

Thanks for the priceless info!!!  Found it, and I'm in the works of adapting the monolith wall tv version to CinErotique right now. Will post it when done.

Awesome find!  I wouldn't mind seeing some gay content myself... the remaining porno theaters in my city are of that variety, after all...!  Peco328 has posted channel-making info, so maybe someone else will have to do that.

Nice.  The coolspear mod has news-only, but no romance-only... not yet, anyhow.  I'm hoping I can get one theater playing CinErotique, and one playing AirplaneRandy.  Hopefully playing two different videos will not make the Sims 4 engine implode, guess we'll see...

 

Monolith Wall is a good choice.  Projectotron would be good if you have the Cinema Stuff pack.  For my purposes I'd also like to request one smaller TV tuned to the romance channel.  I have three of coolspear's news-only InvisiViews set up in the glory hole section of my theater, could use a little variety...

I'm testing with 3 screens right now, (my pc is an old i5/16gb ram/geforce760 - so nothing special), and it runs fine.

I've downloaded the new TV sets... but I can't seem to find them in build mode.  I see Coolspears' sets under Electronics>Televisions.  Where are yours, or what are they called?

@snarfies delete coolspears' cool1_object_WallTVMonolith_FlameVideoAlwaysOn(Clone)(GF).package from your mod folder (it's the fireplace one - you can keep the rest). it'll work / show up afterwards.

Hey @peco328! Thank you very much for all the recent updates, I like them a lot!

However if possible, I thought it would be really great to keep one of the pie menu options for Monolith TV enabled, the "Watch current channel" one. I think it would be more interesting in terms of gameplay.

 

I also want to ask you to intoduce the Russian translation for CinErotic Monolith TV object, I tried to make it not so official as your original and a bit more funny:

@wild_guy Yeah, so, about that... sounds great, but i literally have no idea how to do that. It was a challenge enough to modify it to play CinErotique. ?
I mainly dabble in graphics/video by trade, but haven't got the faintest idea about python coding, or xml or any of that stuff (like, i tried to add a backlight to it, but failed miserably and gave up after 2 hours of trying) . I kinda understand the structure of the .package files, and can replace ID's here and there, but sadly that's it.

But will add the russian description to it, that at least i know how to do. ?

 

PS: i had a good chuckle at your description, will probably port it to the english one. ?

It's ok, I understand nothing in python and xml tunning as well:) The only thought I have is Turbodriver is a man who probably could modify this object for you to make it partly functional if it's not too problematic. I don't think I have a right to ask him since I'm not the author of the mod but you can try if you want.

Just Sims4Studio, nothing special.

Also, I have to emphasise, I DID NOT CREATE THE MOD, it's all coolspears' effort! All I did was change a couple of object/instance ID's and slapped my playlist onto it. (that's the exact reason why it clashes with his original monolith tv)

@peco328, can you make the support thread to repeat the file download title? The point is I don't get notifications about the file updating for some reason although I follow the file I only get notification when someone posts in the support thread. So I have to check for updates manually but that's pretty uncomfortable if there is no mod version in the support thread title and no posts in it about updates. Thanks in advance.
(By default on LL the support thread repeats the title of the file download unless you don't change it manually)

After combing through 100's of xmls, I managed to find out how to add a custom icon to the pie menu! I'm So happy!

(i've haven't uploaded this version yet. still testing if it does break anything or not)

I like 1 and 8. But it seems they must be compared on the pie menu to figure which one is better. Maybe 7 also fits.

yeah, the icons in the pie menu are TINY! it's really hard to make something meaningful in such a small size.

It seems channel logo fits too but only you exactly want the logo there. As for 1, 7 and 8 versions, personally I mostly associate those icons with the channel content meaning:

1- Most saucily hot meaning

7- Most vivid performance meaning

8- Most forbidden sexy meaning

 

I think in the end maybe I would choose the last one.
