Have you tried maybe playing around with the autonomy settings? Dunno if it actually helps though, just an idea.

The sim in the household that i use to test looping crashes tends to watch shitloads of tv (sometimes for 10-15 real time minutes), although, tbh, she's in a pretty barren house with not much else to do for fun. ?

Also, if you wanna watch just one video you can always just temporarily remove the other ones from your mod folder, buy & place one of the appropriate always-on displays and watch the full thing on that.

This is simply astounding work. I must have had my sim sit and watch porn while smoking weed all day yesterday lol I initially downloaded it due to the inclusion of one of my favourite porn series, Shoplyfter. I had a good chuckle watching it and was astounded how accurate you got it. Once again, fantastic work and I eagerly wait to see what else you come up with.

Been wondering for a while, why replacements, would it be more diverse to make them their own channels without replacing any of the base game channels, this also would allow for use of other channels for the other mood,, the only channel i didnt worry about replacing is the fireplace channel and that is from an upgrade.

 

I guess romance can be replaced as it sets the mood better and fireplace can be the raw channel.

 

 

If you need any video ideas of parodies then i can list a few, ever seen Hunger Games or Maze Runner?

There are some technical problems to create fully independent channels. But personally, I like replacements more. I like my sims sometimes watch porn instead of some kind of shit. I'm not saying all of the channels must be adult but several of them definitely may be replaced.

And you still can use CE with other channel mods because there is a bunch of replacement options and you can choose the channel to replace.

Some time back I've made an experimental version of a standalone CinErotique channel using some custom xml injection, but during the testing phase we found that it wasn't working reliably - It was working perfectly fine on some lots, while on others the sim was dancing / t-posing / throwing queing errors instead of watching. What made it even worse, is that the lots where the channel was working properly / not working at all were different for each tester, so I had no idea where to even start to look to find out and solve what is causing it. Plus, I'm not a code-wizard - just an "enthusiastic amateur modder", lol -, so I decided to give up on the standalone CE idea, and concentrate my efforts on content creation (that at least I know how to make ?)

BTW, since the latest 5.2 version, you can get away with replacing only one channel (let's say the fireplace one, as you've already mentioned that) --- just install the core mod file CinErotique_MainMod_Assets.package + the CE channel replacer of your choice, in this case: CinErotique1_ReplaceFireplace.package and the new All_Videos_Play_on_CinErotique.package (can be found in the archive's "Extras" folder). This way the main CinErotique channel will be able to play all RAW and CineReality videos as well alongside its original content.

The Always on TV never works for me. Every time I try to buy it my game becomes unresponsive. The game allows me to select the TV and move it around, but when I try to place it, the game freezes. I've tried every version of the TV and they all do the same thing. My game and the mod are up to date and I have no problem watching cinerotique tv on regular TVs. I really want the Always on TV for my strip club/brothel. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Just tested them again, and they all work fine for me...

• Have you tried temporarily remove all other mods to see if the displays still freeze your game?
• Do you have any other tv mods installed?
• Do you have any "leftover" files from previous CinErotique installations hiding somewhere in your mods folder?

You know what's needed??  An ALL HOMEMADE channel.  By that, you could take video we make available for on the tube sites (XVideos, XHamster, etc & with permission of course), compile them & add them to CinErotique

 

What's also needed is a "Lockdown" type of channel or show featuring inmates in jail & prison doing whatever they can to get off (You can compile my videos as part of it if you wish  )

I'm gonna be honest with you on why I don't plan to do this:

• Making (encoding) video packages and testing them ingame for the dreaded looping crash bug is my most hated part of the creative process. It's tedious and it takes way too much time to do.
• Sims porn videos on Xvideos, Xhamster, etc, vary wildly in both length, style and production quality, and I'd like to keep the content available on my "network" somewhat homogeneous, that can be easily recognized as a "CinErotique style" video.
  (for example, I prefer to use non hyper-realistic looking sims, simlish only speak, no shaders, fairly quick paced editing, etc.)
• The permission part is also a bit wonky, as I have no way to reliably check that the real creator/copyright owner of a video is the same person who it claims to be. Basically, I want to avoid any possible "peco stole my video and put it behind a paywall" accusations.

FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: If anyone wants to add their own tv channel/videos to the game, AirplaneRandy made a "Porn TV Collaborative Playlist" a while back (it replaces the Romance channel), which is basically a simple template for a replacement tv channel, it includes all the necessary playlist/flavor text files and it's probably your best bet to help you get started out + there's also a tutorial and the list of required tools on the page.

 

PS: I've just tested Randy's Collab channel in game - just to be sure -, and it still works fine.

2. convert audio part to compatible dat with DAT Audio Stream Creator

According to an article I saw, the resolution HAD to be 256x144 but the framerate is 15 fps.

That's an incredibly old article then. The original TS4 videos used 256x144 back when it was released, not even maxis uses that shitty resolution anymore for their latest tv offerings. lol. trust me on this
