KoolHndLuke Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Haven't played a good racing game in ages. The ones I really used to get into were Gran Turismo and Need For Speed. I remember playing another that was a Nascar simulator, but I couldn't really get into that because of the rules in it. Need For Speed was my fave since you could win and get your opponents car plus all the after-market parts available to make your car fuckin' zoom. The drawback was that there weren't enough race tracks and cars. Gran Turismo was cool because there were so many cars and parts and tweaks that you could make. The part about it I didn't like was the a.i. opponents annoying habit of being half a lap behind you in a race and all the sudden find a new gear towards the end and beat you. NOT IMMERSIVE! So.....any suggestions for a good pc racing game?
kapete Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 I really enjoy racing most in Iracing. It might not be latest best sim but community is quite nice and also the safety rating system which forces you to play nice if you ever wanna get to higher level races. I like pretty much all styles of racing, ovals with fast cars like Dallara dw12 or Nascar cars, racing circuits with slower cars like Mazda mx-5 or Skip Barber and some rallycross too. Many people dont really like monthly fee and optional pricey cars/tracks but it helps keep certain type of people away and there's plenty to choose from even without buying anything beside monthly fee. If you want more basic realistic sim best would be Assetto Corsa. If you want something more casual or car porn i suggest Forza Horizon series. Huge open world, lots of cars and races and basic casual multiplayer with people driving stupid like in daily traffic.
ToJKa Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 From what i've heard, Project Cars and Assetto Corsa are supposed to be good ones. Can't say personally, since these days i only play Sci-Fi racers.

Angrybird Posted September 26, 2019 Posted September 26, 2019 Dirt Rally the 1st one at least, the damage system is the most arcade system about it.
