But, if I change the sex to female, the game crashes. *Old question, resolved* Hey, everyone! Just a quick question. After several years away, I wanted to get back into Skyrim. I've installed a few of the basic mods, along with their required mods, and have run Loot. When I run the SKSE Launcher, though, nothing happens at all. When loading the game through the normal Launcher, I see the main menu but, when I hit Play Game, nothing happens again. I just go back to my desktop. Sorry for the newbie-like question, I'm really out of practice on modding. Thanks!

If the vanilla game works then the problem is likely to be that the stability tools are incorrectly configured or not installed. Uncle64 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 If the game crash when pressing Play, then that is one indicator that you are missing masters for your load. LOOT should tell you if it detects one missing.

Try AlignHeapAllocate=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini Edited the ini file as instructed. If I use the "Live Another Life" mod, I crash as soon as I hit the New Game option. But I found DL that skips the cart scene and puts you into character creation, but I'm first person view stuck in the ground and can't move to start character creation.

You must be doing something wrong somewhere if AS LAL is causing crashes. Post your load order. Use LOOT - the three vertical dots in the top right. Which mod manager are you using?

Grey Cloud Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Does LOOT give any errors? Does the Plug-in list in NMM show any entries that are in any other colour than black? Does FNIS give any warnings? Note the three vertical dots at the extreme right of the blue bar in LOOT. That's where you get a text version of your load order.

If you have CTD when switching to female is a sign that a nif is incompatible. Bone weights vs. Skeleton or Armor nif of SSE in Skyrim LE etc.
