I happened upon this at just the right time it seems as you just did a major update......though I must admit to feeling ridiculously silly as I spent hours downloading cc 1 piece at a time for two of your sims, only to realize when I went to download the sims themselves you INCLUDE the cc. oh well, at least it gave me something to do on a quarantine afternoon. I figured a good way to add a couple of more elders to the world was to add some extended family for a couple more households in the world. Also helps to flesh out the family tree so to speak. This pack is very CC light, but I'm throwing it up here none the less. The sims are Brandi Broke's parents Bob and Betty Newbie who were made using her genetics, and Mary-Sue Pleasant's adoptive parents Herb and Coral Oldie, who I made using some of my old sims (that you probably had not seen, because they've been unused for so long) and making them into elders. The archive contains 4 different households, the Newbie and Oldie households by themselves, the Oldie family together with the Pleasants (minus the Burbs, so if you want to use them outside of my save you'll have to manually add them back in and set up the family relations) and the Newbies together with the Broke family. The archive only contains the CC for the elders, so if you want to use them together with the rest of their famileis you need to have the CC for those families as well. They may or may not make it into the next version of my save, it depends on whether and when I add a gym to my world. In the meantime of course you can just use them as you use the other NPCs, drop them in your world, evict them, don't play them, they should do their thing. I saw fit to unassign their NPC status for now as saved sims, because it seems that lot NPCs need to be set up specifically for a lot in a specific world, and I was running into issues with them as is. I based them on characters from one of the Sims handheld games, left to right it's vain, but good-natured Eddie Renalin and Misty Waters who used to be a lifeguard in her first appearance and turned up again later as a fitness instructor, with Eddie said to be her on-and-off boyfriend. UPDATE 7/1/2020: I reuploaded these sims. First off I had forgotten to set a third trait for both of them, so they now both have the "bro" trait. Second as noted above I unassigned their NPC role, not because they shouldn't be NPCs but because it appears that lot NPCs need to be set up specifically for a lot in your world and I was running into issues with these two since they were assigned more "generically". Third I discovered that gym trainers are automatically set to 100% on the muscle slider when they start working, Eddie was already at 100%, but Misty was more like 60 or 70%, and this replaced with 100% when she actually did her job, so I set her to 100% as well and edited her body a bit too look more or less as she used to with the new slider setting. Well, it seems it's related to the game not properly loading thsoe custom presets (which should be included in the download). With those and stuff like overridees you generally have to make sure that they're near the top of the mod load order, with the sims this generally means having a mod folder structure where overrides and presets and such are not nested several subfolders deep in your mod folder and maybe even putting them in a folder named something like "!presets" to make sure they are loaded early. Otherwise this problem is not specifically related to my sims so I'd advice either googling the problem or getting help in the technical help forums for Sims 4 here.

I think the difference is that most others just use the Tray Importer to just export a household and be done with it, I (while I use Tray Importer) don't actually use the export function, I use it to identify all the CC I want to include used by a sim or household and then manually add it to the mods used for that sim (and make note of it in the CC credits), it takes longer and sometimes I'll miss stuff, but I think the benefits outweigh the negatives. should also apologize for last week's lack of progress, I've just been pretty busy so I wasn't really able to actually add to either my collection or update my save game. Hopefully I can get something done this week though! 8

I have the older version of Thalia in my new game (I've successfully had her complete university by not having her move there) and I wanted to age her family slightly to reflect her current age. But I can't figure out the right algorithm to make a proper age correlation between real world ages and the game's ages. 1

I kind of just worked on a simple assumption and used the days progresed in a life stage divided by the total number of days in that life stage to get a rough number. For instance I reckon the teen life stage to be from something like 13 or 14 to 18, and the young adult life stage from 18 to 36, and the adult life stage from 36 to 60 and so on. It's not set "correctly" for all of my sims I believe, but should be for most. So Thalia who is supposed to be 21, 3 years (by my assumption) into the YA life stage, should then be about 4 sim days progressed in it. And yeah, it won't line up perfectly between the life stages (a sim day as an adult is worth more years than a sim day as a young adult for instance, sicne they are both 24 days long, but I reckon them lasting different amounts of years).

I might have managed to scrounge together a bit of time over the last couple of days and the next ones and I might be able to upload some new stuff soon, this will be my version of the Landgraab family, whcich will include a sim I'vce posted pictures of that I think some people are interested in. Might not be today, but definitely soon. And I'll also update my save to include them as soon as I have their house ready as well. Also some other stuff. Most of you you know I use height sliders for most of my screenshots (and I usually work around clipping and misalignments using camera angles and TOOL, or temporarily changing sims' heights). Up until now I had been setting all my sim heights with the assumption I had decided on that the default height was about 5'9" or 5'10" there about, but I had never really actually measured it or compared it to objects. Turns out other people have though and googling it it actually turns out adult sims are supposed to be more in the range of between 6'0" and 6'1" or exactly 6' tall as the first google result says. So I think I've decided to more or less reset my sims' heights using this new assumption. Compared with a child sim (who is probably supposed to be around 4') it does perhaps look a bit more reasonable, I chose one of my taller male sims (6'4") and one of my shortest female sims (~4'11"-4'12") as comparison, on the left is with my old assumption and on the right with the new exactly 6' tall baseline. As you can see the relative height difference between the adults is unchanged, but they are both shorter compared to the child sim. There's a couple of benefits, first in that this is probably better scaled comapred to objects in the world, and second that I will have to make less use of very high sldier values for taller sims. The second is good becuase with the slider I'm using very tall sims become stretched and you can't really make them as wide, they become tall and somewhat thin or stretched, so this is better for tall and muscular sims. Not really of much interest to anyone who doesn't use the same height slider that I use, but I'm probably going to be moving all my sims over to this new scaling I've worked out rather than the old one, which means any updated or new sims will be using the new height scaling. Also the stated heights of some of my sims are going to change somewhat with this because I stilll want to keep it all in the 13/25/38/50/... intervals for my slider values which, with a different 0-value means that some of the heights thes values correspond to will change. For instance Linnie is more like 4'11/4'12 now with the new scaling rather than 5'0", and there's a couple of other changes as well. I even made a table... 10

The sims here aren't automatically added to your game worlds and don't replace townies or NPCs unless you specifically do so. They'll just be in your library until you actually place them.

There are several Maxis sim makeovers around, including some that I made in this thread, but they generally have to be added like any other sim you download. As for packs I have most of them (not strangerville, first pet stuff, realm of magic, and a couple of others) and I generally pull from everything, but I tend to mostly use CC and I put together lots of outfits for my sims so even if you're missing stuff you'll still probably have enough outfits to go on.

If you try to load a sim or lot that uses items (CC or otherwise) you don't have, those items just won't show up. So you typically just have to find something to replace them with. That's all really.

Not graphical glitches (unless it's a recolor that's missing a required mesh), they just won't be wearing the item in question or it won't be present on the lot i it's a build object. So you'll probably have to edit them, dependent on what's missing. Generally I'd always recommend anyone to load up sims and lots they download and edit them to their particular liking, missings items or not. 1
