2cool4u_1 Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 CINDER BELLA The following is a re-telling of the classic "Cinder Ella". It is meant to be cheeky, with a slight touch of humor. I hope you enjoy it. Feel free to leave any comments.    Spoiler                                       *NOTE REGARDING MENTAL ILLNESS: I take mental illness seriously. This story is not intended to male fun of it in any way, but merely suggest it as an alternate explanation to "magic".  CREDITS  @erplederp's Bella Goth as Bella / Ella @mrrakkonn's Casey Bennett as the step-sister random NPC #1 as Prince Charming random NPC #2 as the servant That Green Dude as Bat Dude  Featured song lyrics : TITTIES Lady in Red by Chris De Burgh Spoiler  Â
erplederp Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 Well done! ? Both narration and dialogue are great, there's even a moral lesson at the end ?. Did you use any kind of special software for the speech bubbles or such? Wouldn't mind seeing the "true stories" behind more classic fairy tales...

Did you use any kind of special software for the speech bubbles or such? Wouldn't mind seeing the "true stories" behind more classic fairy tales... It is a very important moral indeed. As Bat Dude said, money is much better than magic. Â I use "paint.net". It's a free program very similar to Photoshop. The speech / thought bubbles are standard shapes you can resize, like rectangles. Â Which fairy tales are you interested in (some are easier than others)? These are the ones I know well (I know more but I'd need a refresher course); Spoiler Aladdin Frozen Beauty & The Beast The Little Mermaid Snow white Sleeping Beauty Pinocchio The Lion King Pocahontas Â
angiebaby23 Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 @2cool4u_1 Delicious! As a true pop culture baby, I appreciated every single one of the references. Also: "She most likely had a mental illness." LOL.  I vote for the "true events" version of The Little Mermaid. The sanitized Disney version is WAY off from the original delightfully gruesome HCA fairy tale. I'd love to see your version of that grim little tale.Â

I suppose that's a good thing for the "True Events" series. I remember thinking the Disney version was extremely "child-friendly" in comparison, when it came out. I also remember she had a friend dolphin, instead of a stupid fish. Aside from little bits and pieces, that's about it. Consider it in the works, but it'll be my take on the Disney version, not the HCA version. Even if I re-watched it, I'm positive it has a lot less holes in the plot that I can exploit.

I've realised I haven't seen many of the classics you mention. I've seen only Frozen (no shit!), the live-action version of the Beauty and the Beast and animated The Lion King. And also many of the newer animated movies, like Tangled (no way this was released in 9 years ago) and Moana.  Here's my take on Moana: The girl gets rebellious. The girl sails the ocean alone. The girl drowns. The end. A pretty gripping story, eh? ?  Agree that The Little Mermaid re-telling could be interesting.
R-Lo Posted July 11, 2019 Posted July 11, 2019 ?  I love it! It's almost as if it were being seen through the eyes of Karl Pilkington, nothing is magic and there's a dumb but logical reason behind it all, So clever and definitely top marks! It would make a killer movie ? with Ryan Reynolds as P. Charming and Steve Buscemi as the green dude ?

I think because they follow a fairly logical progression; unless I throw in some other angle. Beauty and the Beast should be very doable, but I'm not sure how the live-action differs from the animated one. Â 4 hours ago, erplederp said: Here's my take on Moana: The girl gets rebellious. I started reading, and it was over before I knew it. You should write your own series.?

The movie is a great idea. I'd definitely pay to see it (nice choice of actors ?).
2cool4u_1 Posted July 12, 2019 Author Posted July 12, 2019 Just a note; As I'm fleshing out a plot outline, I realize I need to do some extensive practical planning to do underwater mermaid scenes without a ton of custom poses. It's still in the works, but most likely will not be the next instalment.?
Mariana Soprano Posted July 12, 2019 Posted July 12, 2019 Oh... my tummy... this is big fun! Thanks! Your gigglegranny
