kiingkiller Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 im very much overwhelmed by the amount of mods and i have no idea what is best, what conflicts and given my bad luck when it comes with modding skyrim, all im looking to do is have nude bodies, some skimpy out fits and a sex mod that lets me prostitute my self or others.
Psalam Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Nude bodies are found on Nexus. Most commonly used are CBBE (my choice) and UUNP. For prostitution you will likely want: SexLabTDF Prostitution and Pimping (the former "Aggressive Prostitution") v2.2.5.5 You will need the requirements listed. You will also want the one for your version of Skyrim (LE or SE).
JobiWanUK Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 None of us did when we started. It just takes some patience, the ability to read (and re-read) and follow instructions and ask for help when needed. You'll find a lot of help on this site. Personally I'd recommend you start with Mod Organizer 2 for your modding.
yetAnotherLurker Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Since you sound like a total beginner, I hope if you don't mind if I skip over some of the explanations that you'll understand later so as not to overwhelm with info. Go to nexusmods.com and make an account there if you haven't already. Go to skyrim special edition and download a "mod" named "Mod Organizer 2". It is significantly faster than Mod Organizer (1). The other mod managers are not as useful. You will want to use a mod organizer on account that it is much easier than manually coping dozens to hundreds of files into where steam installed Skyrim in the order you want them loading in. Since you are using steam go search their games for "Skyrim Script Extender". You will need this for almost every mod, and to get Mod Organizer 2 to actually work. Mod Organizer 2 has a tutorial that does a decent job of explaining what you need. If you want a nude body either search nexusmods (the regular skyrim part, not special edition) for "dimonized unp" or CBBE. (if you're completely new then go with unp, it's easier to get running in my opinion). Read what mods are needed for them to work and download them. Read what mods are needed for those mods to work and so on. Also download a mod called FNIS, idk the exact name off the top of my head, but you'll absolutely need it later. Load them into Mod Organzier 2, and on the left check what you want to be enabled, and reorder them if you don't want one mod to overwrite the files from another, order matters, and alphabetical order will almost never work. The right of the screen will have something similar with everything ending in either esm or esp, just put the esm files near the top and things will usually work. For a skimpy armor mod, I personally use "a little sexy apparel replacer". It doesn't change every piece of armor, but it's an okay starting point. Look for "Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch" it fixes a great many bugs and most people will assume you have it anyway. Also get "Alternant Start Live another Life" if you want to skip the 15 minute long opening scenes of Skyrim. Before you try to install the sex mods, test out your current mods installed and play a few minutes to make sure everything is working. It is easier to find problems when you have fewer things which could cause the problems. You will want "Sexlab", "Schlongs of Skyrim", for certain. Likely "Sexlab Aroused Redux" as well. I personally don't use any prostitution mods so you'll need someone else to give you that info. I hope this helps, and if nothing else provides a decent starting point. Sorry if this is a wall of text, I can't figure out how to make line breaks on this forum.
Pax0 Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 Check out Gophers tutorials on YT. Very very helpfull. He explains step by step how to install basic mods like: Mod organizer, FNIS, skse and other mods. Just type in YT for example : Skyrim Gopher FNIS, or other mod you want. Heres he's channel https://www.youtube.com/user/GophersVids .
NoNickNeeded Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 The STEP wiki has a lot of info useful info for both beginners and more advanced users: https://wiki.step-project.com/Main_Page The "STEP v2.10.0" is probably the best spot to start. I agree with yetAnotherLurker. While Mod Organized might look a bit intimidating at first glance, it is actually quite easy to use, once you look into it (there's also a guide for it on the STEP wiki) and it's mod seperation feature makes it almost impossible to break your installation of the game without activaly trying. A mod is causing crashes? Just untick it's checkbox and it's as if it had never been installed... except for savegames made while it was active... but that's another can of worms that's universal to Skyrim regardless of whether you use a Mod Launcher or not or which one it is. The only thing I ever had trouble getting set up in MO was the Dual Sheath Redux patcher. Should you decide to use that mod and can't figure out how to do it on your own, drop me a PM and I'll send you a short how-to. For female bodies, I think you should try to go with one that has an animated vagina rather than the normal CBBE and UUNP bodies. CLAMS of Skyrim is one such option for example, though I also heard some good things about SMP (never tried that one myself though). Same for males. Here the SOS (Schlongs of Skyrim) is the most widely used mod for giving male characters (and also female ones and even animals, beasts and constructs with the right addons) working dicks.
Headerman Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 IMO, install a fresh copy of skyrim into a new folder, install any updates, then copy and paste the Stamapp\common\Skyrim folder itself somewhere else. This way if you do some irreversible damage you can simply delete it and restore the backup. Also need to do the same with the Documents\My Games\Skyrim folder too
