Incubusbul Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 I've been experiencing all kind of CTDs, but never anything like that. It happened during an animation, in which my character was swinging her sword in an attempt to behead a hostile NPC. I'm not quite sure which mod is responsible for this particular animation, and I must admit, I'm not very found of it (usually turn my head during the action), but it happened for the first time yesterday, while my bimbo has been decapitating NPCs for almost a month so far. Do you, guys, think it has anything to do with the mod itself, or it's just a random CTD?

Also, it sounds like you believe there is a specific mods causing this. If so, which one?

What I meant was, that usually I used to experience many CTD before and after the loading screen, while jumping from one location to another, etc., but never during running animation. I did a clean installation of the game recently. And yes, probably messed it up again trying this and that mod, apparel, follower, etc.

The reason I ask is that the older version of MoreNastyCritters which includes SexLabNudeCreatures is notorious for causing CTDs. You might want to look at upgrading to a more recent version - bear in mind that the current version also has some issues and you would be well advised to look at it's Support thread before you change.

I repeat what I said above about frequent CTDs - you really do need to install those three tools. Nothing to do with your CTDs but just as some advice: If you are not running the three mods then you don't need the 3 patches. I know they are not active but I wouldn't have them in there if not needed. Bathing in Skyrim - Hunterborn.esp Bathing in Skyrim - Interactive Wash Basins.esp Bathing in Skyrim - Realistic Room Rental.esp Not saying it will cause problems but I thought this was for CBBE. 154 9a titkit.esp These definitely wont help with the number of CTDs. 23 17 HighResTexturePack01.esp 24 18 HighResTexturePack02.esp 25 19 HighResTexturePack03.esp Think about either installing the Unofficial Hi-Res Patch or, better, find a less resource hungry alternative.

No, no, that's not what I'm saying. It's just happened once (for now; I haven't played the game since) right in the middle of the animation, just before the actual beheading. As for MoreNastyCritters, I didn't manage to make it work, that's why I simply disabled/unchecked it.

The three SexLabNudeCreatures (SLNC) .esp's (which come with MNC) are still there and "on". While you would be better served to simply delete your version of MNC, if you are unwilling to do that, you need to tick the SexLabNudeCreatures .esp's off also. Deleting MNC should also delete the SLNC .esp's.

I can't help you with how to do things with MO. With NMM I would just delete the esps. With MNC, v11 works with Crash Fixes but v12 doesn't. So if you decide to uninstall your current MNC, and you should, then v11 is the way to go.

The reason I haven't deleted the MNC entirely is, that I stumbled upon a tip (in a comment under some of the countless Skyrim Troubleshooting threads), which was saying it is perhaps better not to delete/remove a mod permanently (for the sake of stability), but simply uncheck it. Somehow it stuck in my mind and I've been following it since. Now I will take your advice and remove MNC completely. Thanks.

I fully agree with Psalam that you should remove the old version. The MNC download page has one of the most comprehensive guides on LL* when it comes to removing, upgrading and installing the mod. *Or anywhere else, come to that.
