Fixadent Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I have quite a few AAF mods installed as well as the advanced animation framework itself. However, I cannot get ANY of the mods or animations to actually work, and I have several animation packs such as atomic lust installed SEU hotkeys do nothing when pressed, morning sex with lover doesn't work, etc.. etc.. Could somebody PLEASE help me figure what what I'm doing wrong?
EgoBallistic Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Usually when this happens, it's because you don't have the F4SE Data folder installed. You need to drag the Data folder from the F4SE archive into your Fallout 4 install folder.

Also, here is a list of all of the mods I have installed, could something be causing a conflict?

The install folder is where the Fallout 4 executable is. In other words, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4 LooksMenu does not use the F4SE scripts, it is a plugin and uses the F4SE DLL. So it will work without the F4SE Data folder installed. Mods like AAF and SEU use the F4SE scripts and therefore will not work without the Data folder.
Gstar12 Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 When you open the game, go into SETTINGS. Should say v(F4SE 0.6.16 rel 19) 1.10.130 If it's just (1.10.130) No F4SE. And the install is real easy. Take everything from the F4SE packed file that isn't a folder and put that in your Fallout 4 folder with your original Fallout4.exe. The Data folder can be dropped in there as well as it will just drop what is in it in your current data folder, and then grab that src folder and throw that in the data folder as well. Done. I also Noticed you don't have AAF Compatibility. You need that to make sex mods work with AAF. Also when you load the game does it tell you that AAF is installed? And do you see a massive script run down the left side of the screen? If not then AAF is not working, which means that something like Looks menu, is messing with the UI and now allowing it to run properly. With Vortex sometimes it's needed to go to the plugins page and draw the lines from plug to plug and say this one before that because it has a habit of putting things in the wrong order. Especially when AAF should be at the top of your load order. Still better than MO2 Which can't even install a mod to FO4. Tried that myself, watched about 5 tutorial videos and that app refuses to install a mod to FO4, just installs them to it's own mod folder under the name of the rar file. Ppl talk about it ghost imaging the mods to FO4 but it never does that. Plus it can't get the sub-directories right to save it's ass. Making you have to manually install things which doesn't matter if it's never going to the right place anyway. And no tutorial talks about altering the install paths.

Not a big deal but you don't need the "SRC" folder you can just ditch that one.

Am I using outdated versions of something? Or could there be a mod conflict?

AAF and SEU don't really have anything to conflict with, since they don't use any vanilla records. This would be easier if you came to the AAF Discord. There are tools there like GFV that will verify your AAF install in seconds, much faster than playing 20 questions. Here's the link to the AAF discord server.

Yes, I have the latest version of F4SE properly installed, and I just installed the AAF compatibility patch, however, none of the sex mods are working.

Wayward1 Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 I'm having the same issues as OP. Ran the GFV and everything checks out. All my other F4SE dependent mods run just fine, but AAF refuses to function. I'm stumped.
dagobaking Posted June 8, 2019 Posted June 8, 2019 This type of issue more likely has to do with the AAF add-on mods than how AAF/F4SE is installed.
