[Solved] Reinstalling estrus causes CTD on save/new game load

I accidentally uninstalled Estrus, but after I had reinstalled it Skyrim would crash whenever I tried to load a save or start a new game. Anyone know if it's possible to fix this?

Did you run FNIS after you reinstalled?

How do you install your mods?
You may have overwrited wrong files.

If you have CTD when click new game you have execesive animations at 99%. Remove animation packs and run FNIS.

I install my mods with Nexus Mod Manager unless the mod author says to do it manually.

Nope, didn't use it when estrus worked either.

Excessive animations was the issue, even though I'm using the XXL version.

Note: The optional FNIS 7.4.5 XXL Beta (20,000 animations) will run slower on PCs with little memory.
It is also likely, that using mods with a total of more than 10000 animations will increase the likelyhood of load CTD. How much? I don't know. Use at your own risk.

 

We know that Skyrim works whitout problem with less than 10k animations.

The XXL version only allow you to install more than 10k animations.

If you use the XXL version, it is at your own risk because the XXL version allows you to install more animations than the game supports and the result is CTD. And the solution is remove animations.

If some mod maker says install my mod manuall. Simply dont listen to him/her. Since that person dont know how other mods will react on his/her mod.

DONT do it.

If you use one mod tool as you use. NEVER install mods manually.

Yea, if you can load the title screen but crash on New Game/Load Game, you very likely have too many animations installed.  Below post explains it in a bit more specific terms.
