Labour party rise in the 90s which is Centrist (red). Democrats (left wing, yellow)

Where is that nonsense from? I'm British with a degree in Politics and Contemporary History and never have I heard the Labour Party described as 'centrist' or the Lib Dems as 'left-wing'.

They are the other wat round - Labour is viewed as socialist and the Lib Dems as the centre party. If you add the Labour and Lib Dem votes (plus all the other minor parties) then the UK is predominantly not right-wing.

If you actually take time to look at that graph, you will see that none of the parties has managed over 50% of the vote since before WW2. Which suggest that the UK is not 'predominantly;' anything (apathetic maybe).

Also Brexit party who won recently is RIGHT WING.

What 'Brexit Party'? And what did they win?

2. Yes you have no sources/studies that say porn is bad for you, except if someone is ADDICTED. Blocking porn (even for people aged less than 18) is literally Authoritarian type of shit.

There are lots of studies on the psychological affects of watching porn. They have been doing them for decades.

According to your argument minors should be allowed alcohol, firearms, driving licenses, etc.

I'll tell you something more interesting. There is a direct pattern between porn/sexual items restriction and sexual crime rates. Look at any country (mostly shitholes) that has bans on porn and stuff, always high rape rates. The fact is when you take people's outlet away they'll do dumb shit. Just like how the UK is so adamant about grandstanding and lecturing Japan on their "loli hentai/porn in general" and why they need to restrict it more for "muh children" while Japan has a FAR less child molestation and rape rate in general.

Same with guns. Banning guns is gonna solve problems? Well you have an even bigger rate of knife crimes. How many are they gonna stop? And besides, someone who's really adamant about gunning people down will find guns one way or another, but the ban will mean that the innocents are unarmed. The Left/The Right it makes little difference, bottom line is always that these moralf@gg0tted politicians and grandstanding busybody soccermom type sheep do not understand the subversion backfiring effect.

I talked about this in another thread here in LL. But i'm sure you get the gist anyway fren. Stay vigilant and keep honking!

This is another nonsense argument. Nobody is talking about banning porn. Even countries such as the Netherlands and Germany who have a more liberal/less hysterical attitude to porn than the UK have laws.

Where do you people get this nonsense from?

Again, where do you get this nonsense from? There is currently a trend of stabbings among a certain portion of teenagers in London. There have been some copy-cat stabbings etc in other parts of the country. In no way can this be compared to someone going into their school and letting rip with a semi-automatic firearm.

Holy gobbledy-gook, Batman.

I have a feeling that you're not as aware of your surroundings. The Uk didn't try to grandstand and influence Japan once, but twice. It's not our fault you're unaware of what's happening. London for example has a higher crime rate than new york of all places. Acid attacks, grooming gangs, child molestation, rape gangs, vandalism, stabbings, theft, robbery, increasing homelessness, housing bubble inflation, overcrowded immigration, massive amounts of faeces on the streets, i could keep going on and on.

But that's all fine, because the UK is busy chasing John Cleese for pointing out the obvious, having news media doxxing people for thought crimes and facebook posts and trying to regulate porn which has had direct showings of reducing sexual crimes. But please, sip some tea and tell us unclutured people how wonderful it is. I mean for fuck's sake there's a pakistani muslim sitting on the throne of London. How did that happen? lmfao

@bumzel Man you seeing this shit? This is some whack shit! Lel

On a family holiday to the States as a child I saw an American family push in at the front of a queue we'd been standing in for half an hour and not give a toss. By the logic that seems to be creeping into this thread I can feel quite confident now in saying this one incident conclusively proves that all Americans are rude wankers.

Eh. Don't mind me. I'm the last person to claim Britain is perfect, and one of the first to criticise and poke fun at it. Lots of people don't know what they're talking about in here, however, throwing around ridiculous generalisations, and now race and religion are being brandished about. Time to give this one a miss and go enjoy some tea and crumpets, perhaps a spot of tiffin, and have a jolly good time watching an afternoon's cricket, what?

(I am actually going to watch the cricket.)

So I, who am a resident here, don't understand my own country as well as someone who lives several thousand miles away? Doesn't it not occur to you that whatever media outlet you get this nonsense form may not be 100% accurate or reliable?

Where and when did the UK do this 'grandstanding'?

I hate to be the one to break it to you but there isn't a Pakistani muslim sitting on the throne. In fact there is not a Pakistani of any creed or a muslim of any nationality sitting on the throne.

Oh, i needed this little chuckle. I'm sure Londonistan will be a fine place to visit someday! lmfao

So I'm guessing that you have nothing to back up your insane comment about a Pakistani muslim being on the throne.

A joke about my city for @Slorm and @SleepyJim

A guy is visiting Manchester on business. He goes into a newsagents and asks for an A-Z.

The newsagent tells him there are two versions, the deluxe and the regular.

"What's the difference?" asks the guy.

"The deluxe doesn't have Salford in it".

[I'm not a Manc]

ROFL poor old Salford.

It's an up and coming area now (if you believe the estate agents and if it has been redeveloped)

Back on topic, here's an article about the porn age check cock up (there's something similar on the BBC somewhere but a bit more respectful) https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/06/20/bureaucratic_error_leads_to_p0rn_block_delay/

Back when I worked in IT, The Reg and a cup of coffee were the first order of the day. Then came the end-users . . . :(

Is the BOFH still going?
